Prologue

The Abdicators' uprising was suppressed a year ago, but the General still saw the last battle in his/her dreams. An Abdicatress, Helga was allegedly led the insurgence. She said that the Light will defeat the him in the end. They can take her life, but not her Light and the end of Shadow Legion is near. The General must capture her to prevent a war from happening.

The General woke up from his/her dream by Sarge. He tells that someone is dying to meet them. After that, Gizmo came and reported that almost a hundred of their men have gone AWOL. It has been a week since they heard from them. Ursus the Immortal himself sent him to General. He said that the Legion needs him right now. Sarge stops Gizmo telling that the general got the message. He tells him to wait for them in the yard as it's their time for morning prayer. He then apologize to General for ruining his morning and he went to collect some water for him. He then wished to have a nice day and also wished them that the Great Shadows bless them.

Story

Act 1

After that when they were about to cross the bridge, Gizmo said that all his boys had made it for the summons on the dot, but it looks like the other batallions were missing many soldiers. Sarge got angry and confirms that it has happened before their anniversary of their victory. He then said that they would tuck their tails as soon as they saw their General. Gizmo then informs them that he have their lead on their whereabouts and asks general if they should depart now. Suddenly, Sarge saw some men who were attacking a woman over the bridge. After General protected the woman from assassin, she turns out to be Greta, Gizmo's elder sister. Sarge honestly says that he never expected to be her here. Greta thanks General for protecting her and she also needs help, although she doesn't want them to be disturbed by her in their resting days. The Nomads sent her a message that the shadow marshes had broken up in their banks. A Liquidator squad was sent to help locals with the problem, but a week has passed and they didn't report back to the Fortress. She fears that something must have happened to them. Gizmo pacifies her sister that lieutenant Seigfried can handle this and gets impatient for the deserters who wouldn't be so kind waiting for them. Sarge then tells him to shut up as the General will decide where to go first, not him. After that, the General gets two choices.

Act 1, Part 1: Finding Liquidators

After General decides to go with lost squad first, Gizmo gets irritated and tells to her that she can't get everything she wants every time, but Greta thanked General for going in her side and said that she will be forever in their debt. She tells Sarge to give her the map so that she could tell the fastest ways to the shadow marshes.

After they were going through the shortest way in which Greta told about, Tarlan comes in their way. He greets them and asks them what they made them there. Looking at his pet hawk, Gizmo then asks in curiosity that who this parrot is. Greta then stops Gizmo from embarassing her telling that he is the prince of nomads he is talking about. She requested Tarlan not to be mad at him as they are here for help. Tarlan forgives them and said that the contamination is tough this time and these poor souls are surrounding the clinic. They are ready to break the gates. Sarge tells him not to worry as they will help their warriors. Then General fight off infected locals to save a nomad doctor. After General deals with it, the doctor turns out to be Shibata. Tarlan then greets him and tells him to make some tea for them. He asks then why the contamination is worse than usual. Shibata then tells that this infection is spreading too quickly. He sent a messenger two weeks ago but the Liquidators didn't come to help. Greta was shocked and asked if they had even showed up. Sarge agreed her and tells that they couldn't neglect their duties and this is bad. They decided to check their camps for this. Tarlan then couldn't express his gratitude towards General for helping him. He said that the Steppes will remember this day when they saved Shibata and then, he will save his unfortunate people. He then tells them not to bother with an answer as he know about their vow of silence. He blessed them and asked Shibata what they can do for them. After that, the General gets two choices which will affect them in their following fight.

Tarlan's Chai

If the player chooses Tarlan's Chai, it will protect them from getting poisoned when they attack their opponent in their next fight. When the player drinks the tea, Gizmo feels disgusting and tells that even their army cooks can make tastier than this. Tarlan sees and said that if he met a shadow snake out there in the steppe, this tea will save his life.

Shibata's Tranquilizer

If the player chooses Shibata's Tranquilizer, it will prevent their attacks from increasing opponent's damage in the next fight. After that when player coat his weapon with the tranquilizer, Sarge asks to Shibata that what his medicine cure. Shibata corrects that this is a tranquilizer which if coated, their enemies will not do much damage to them.

After that, the party head towards the Liquidators' camp, but they can't see anyone. Sarge tells her that no one knows what have happened here and tells her to be quiet for now. Suddenly, she sees Jane who was one of the Liquidators. She thanked Shadows that she is alive and asks where Lieutenant Seigfried is. She also asks why she didn't go to the marshes, but Jane doesn't respond and starts attacking them. The General quickly stands up against her to protect them. Depending on the buffs they chose earlier, they would get an advantage in this fight. Also, Jane transforms into a shadow beast after losing one round, making her more dangerous. Despite that, she is defeated by the General. Sarge tells that he has seen a lot of things but didn't see this thing. Greta, who became frightened tells that she turned into a shadow beast and it's the beginning of the end. She tells that they must find Seigfried, but Gizmo doubts if the lieutenant is also a shadow monster too and tells that it can lead us to death if they fight him, but Greta believes that he won't cause any harm to her. Sarge, after agreeing with Gizmo, asks General what they should do now as Gizmo could be right. He suggests to investigate the camp first as it would be wiser. But he sees that Greta is on edge and gets afraid. After then, they went to search Seigfried's tent when they saw a nomad inside his tent. He thought that they were going to capture him and tells them to do their own work and leave him alone. But General deals with the nomad and eventually, he is defeated. Sarge orders him to kneel before the Crimson Army General and asks if he is there to snatch Liquidators' supplies. The nomad answers by saying that Shadows are howling all over the Steppe and he came here for help. When he learns the secret, they captured him. The Great Shadows got their hands on these Liquidators and all of them turned into shadow beasts. Greta agrees with the nomad and tells them to leave him there. She knew that it would happen someday and she received this letter from Seigfried, saying that Greta, her love. It happened. Now they belong to the Shadows. He knew what will wait for them at the fortress and he would protect them. Forgave him. She tells that Seigfried wanted to take his people away into the wilds and they must stop him as there is no time to lose.

The party went outside the tent to go to the wilds when suddenly, Sarge saw somebody and orders him to stop. Then he asks to them if they could see that guy and asks if he is another Liquidator. Greta wonders if he is the angel of Shadows but the guy named Scourge gets excited after seeing the party and says that the master will be pleased after seeing more Legionaries. Greta asks him where Seigfried is and asks if he took him. She begged him where the Liquidators are but Scourge answers by telling that all Liquidators have gone where his master needed. He tells that they are their next servants. Scourge fights in permanent shadow form. However, the General proves to be victorious at the end. Sarge tells that this is not an infected one. He has seen all of them but this one is made up of shadow energy itself. Gizmo wonders if he was the one who drove the Liquidators mad and started to think that the problem has now been solved. But Greta doesn't get convinced by his brother and points that something is coming for their sins. She feels that Seigfried is somewhere nearby and he would not leave until all of his people are gone into the forest. She also feels that he is watching them from somewhere.

The party then went to the bamboo forest where they see Seigfried who has completely turned into a shadow beast, although he has still some humanity left inside and he is fighting his inner beast. After seeing them, Seigfried tells them to go away as the master is calling them, but he couldn't speak clearly thanks to the fact that he starts to lose himself. Greta, who can't break the law of the Immortals, tells him that the Immortals will purify him and his soldiers. Seigfried said that it's fine. His other Liquidators have gone in the woods and he is the only one left. Seigfried gives them last warning to go away before cursing the Immortals and starts attacking them. The General quickly defends them and fights him. Seigfried has the ability to destroy General's shadow ability by his special move which will prevent them from using shadow ability. He also has the ability to deal an explosive damage when either his shadow bar is full or his health gets out. However, the General manages to defeat him at the end. After that, Greta explains that every Liquidator has a shadow beast inside them which helps them to burn other opponents' shadow energy. Very few people knew about this ancestral gift. She didn't understand why their beasts over them took control and thinks that something must have changed that they hadn't realised yet. Soon, their will be a patrol and Seigfried will be taken to the Fortress. They will also deal with the others too. Sarge asks her if she is alright. She tells that when Seigfried told her that, she had not believed and hoped that this would just be a legend. But their beasts are awake now and they wouldn't transform back into humans. She thanked General for their assistance as her sword belongs to her cause.

Act 1, Part 2: Detaining Deserters

When they were going to detain the deserters, Gizmo tells that the ones that they caught were very specific about the deserters' gathering point. Gizmo asks if they remember a hamlet of hobos that rose up five years ago. That is the place where the deserters are crawling to its ruins as they speak. Greta corrects that Steppe people are not hobos as they are decent and noble folks but Gizmo tells her sister that they both are decent folks and nomads are the nomads are the lazy ones who just couldn't work hard enough. Sarge tells them to stop talking as they are almost there, but they are ambushed by someone. After general deals with the ambusher, the guy is the Scout himself. Scout ask for mercy and request them not to kill him as he couldn't recognize them in the dark. He decided to stay out of that situation as soon as he realized what they were going to do. He tells them that their blockheads' bonded with the woodland folks. Sarge got surprised as they had kept their heads for fourty year. He claims that they they won't dare to welcome the traitors of the Legion. Scout tells them that this would be right a year before, but her son, Sven the Lucky, is now the new woodland prince after she died last month and he is the scrappy one. Sarge understood his words and he tells him that he has to lead them to the traitors before he gets court-martialed as his guts tells him that they have a long journey ahead of them. He tells General that the Weisswalds don't remember Northerners and they should prepare them for meeting those woodland leeches. After that, the General gets two choices which will affect them in their following fight.

Pray with Greta

If the player chooses Pray with Greta, her prayer will protect their health from decreasing automatically. After the player decides to chant with her, Greta starts bending her spirit to the Great Shadows' will and wished that they stay rested. She also wished that the Shadow Legion stand for a thousand years. She requested to hear her for General's health and security, cover their wounds and protect her brother as he is a naughty one. She gives her thanks to them.

Train Gizmo

If the player chooses Train Gizmo, his loyalty will stop their opponent from replenishing health automatically. After the player decides to train with Gizmo, he forgot to thanks them for saving her sister's life. He said that her sister is too religious, but she is the only one of his family member he has, so he promised them that he will give his best to repay their kindness.

They went to the Eternal Rest, only to find out that these folks have settle near them, which was forbidden to enter as it is sacred. Scout reveals that they have turned this sacred place into an arena, and they fight for their own enjoyment. Suddenly, a young man named Xiang Tzu comes to see the party when he knew that they would come here, but he tells them to go away from there. Greta wonders what the small boy is doing here and thinks that he must be from the Steppe. She asked him where his parents were. Xiang Tzu answers that his parents were killed by the Crimson Army soldiers. He then gets happy to see the general and fights them to take the revenge for killing his parents. Xiang Tzu fights unarmed and has the ability to control his rage which would prevent him from getting knockbacks. However, the General has an upper hand over him thanks to the buff they have chosen earlier and defeats him. After that, Fangirl comes and sees that the Crimson Army general has beaten up a boy and ask Ironclad if he had seen that. Ironclad corrects her and tells to stop yelling as Xander is a man. He is the one who is responsible for training him, so he did well in his point of view. Xiang Tzu, who become disappointed, requested him to forgive him but Ironclad tells that they will work on his right punch later. He just humiliated the general. Fangirl said with excitement that the soldiers of their army also want to fight them and wonders what they will do without their army. Sarge didn't understand that what is going on here.

After that, Sarge tells them that General will give them one chance before they will die as they had spoken long enough. Ironclad mocks at him by telling that they should play generals and sergeants back at the fortress as Sven says that they are all free and equal. Fangirl repeats by saying that Sven is not a fool and they are free and equal and says that their men will deal even with the Crimson Army general, but Ironclad says that it is not fair if they all will fight against General and sends Richard, telling that he will fight for everyone. He tells them to accept the challenge. Gizmo advises them not to fight as they belong to the gallows, but Sarge tells him that they will win by time and will find out what Sven is doing as Richard is no match for them. After General defeats Richard, Sven comes and Fangirl tells him that they have guests. Sven tells Ironclad to remember that her mother sailed for the sun shores since one month and today is the Repentance Day so their will be no guests. Sarge tells him that his mother hadn't started feuds against the king as she chose her friends more carefully, but Sven asks whereabouts about the king if he is alive. Sarge answers by saying that his mother was the king of theirs too and tells them that the Immortals won't be pleased with their doings. He also tells that they are their people as they broke the law. But Sven says that they are their family as they are now here and he will watch out for his family on the Repentance day, so he informs Ironclad to keep an eye on them as he will be back soon. After they go towards the Eternal Rest, which is now turned into an arena, Gizmo tells about Sven that he is such a daring guy to turn the Eternal Rest into an arena and this is the idea. Greta gets upset as they were failed to protect the Eternal Rest because she had to read a memorial prayer over the mounds but it's too late. Fangirl explains that the Eternal Rest was built over an ancient arena and it was told by Sven. Ironclad agrees with her and tells that he holds rituals fights over there to bring back the grace of the Fire and corrects her that she was wrong about them. He tells them to see for themselves as this place is crawling with angry spirits of soldiers. All of this happened because the Legion turned it into a junkyard for armor. Greta corrects him that these are mounds and much to her surprise, she asked them how they knew her surname. Then General goes to investigate the Eternal Rest to see what is the matter when suddenly, a Scourge comes in between. The General quickly deals with the Scourge. It fights in permanent shadow form. Despite that, the General prevails the Scourge. After seeing this, Gizmo was surprised as Shadows could never speak like a human. Ironclad agrees with him and tells them that the Immortals are deceiving them and asks them if they really believe them. He gets confused as to why this is all happening if the Shadows are on the Legion's side and thinks that the Immortals are either liars or fools. Sarge orders them to be silent, but Ironclad doesn't get silent after seeing all this and tells them that the Shadows are killing them as the Fire Children had spoken the truth. He also tells that the whole Legion will soon know about it.

After that, Scout comes and reports them that Sven is leading his men towards the Fortress and he has three or four dozen soldiers with him. Sarge gets confused as to why he is attacking towards the Fortress as today is the Repentance Day. Fangirl answers by saying that on this day, the Fire Children will try to bring back something which was lost by the deceased one and tells that he will surely succeed. Greta tells them that it's not much but they have to warn them as the capital is celebrating its anniversary and no one expects an attack, but Ironclad stops them and tells them that they haven't done their dinner yet followed by the Fangirl. The General fights with Ironclad to clear their way towards the Fortress. Ironclad fights barehand in this fight but he has the ability to gain Stubbornness charges up to three, which increases his physical defense and also has the ability to break the General's block which deals critical damage everytime he gains or lose Stubbornness charge. He is also immune to recoil from any ranged attack. However, the General fights very carefully and eventually, defeats him. After that, Greta remembers everything about him but she won't say his name as it will foul her soul. She accused him for betraying the Shadow Legion and humiliating his parents' memory and he should be ashamed of himself. Sarge scolded them for pleasing some woodland leeches who are off to pillage at homes as they were a part of Legion. He scolds them for disgracing the Crimson Army and tells them to pick up their weapons to defend their mothers if they have at least one drop of bravery left in them. He then tells Scout to find some horses as they are departing to stop Sven from taking the Fortress.

Act 1, Part 3: Stopping Sven

The party rushes towards the Fortress to stop Sven's army, but they are too late as they are already here and it seems like the fight is going on inside it. Suddenly, Scout saw some Northerners surrounding a man which seems to be their King's Advisor and they rushed to help him. After General protects the advisor of the king, the advisor scolded them for not seeing the situation they are in and asks them where they have been. Sarge forgives him and tells him with respect that it's hard for them to see the situation from outside and asked him what had happened. Advisor replied that they have killed their guards and scattered all over the city, although they are few in numbers, but the Immortals are safe. He informs them that a Northerner with a giant hammer knocked out fifteen people or so and he is now in the main street. He suspects that he must be one of their drevars. Sarge gets surprised as he thought that this day couldn't get any worse. After that, the General gets two choices which will affect them in their next fight.

Sarge's Shade

If the player chooses Sarge's Shade, it will stop their opponent from stealing their health with attacks. After they chose this, Sarge says that if those fire worshipers taste their blood, they will give their dirty souls to the Shadows right away and this is for the King and for the Shadow Legion.

Scout's Charm

If the player chooses Scout's Charm, it will prevents the opponent's damage from increasing when they lose health. After they chose this, Scout tells them that the Northerners can't stay obedient as long as the forest itself enrages them. This was said by his father and he was right. He said that let his charm protects them.

After they went to the main street, Sarge sees this drevar with some other Northerners and orders Scout to bring Greta to safety and find out what is going on in the city, but Greta says that she will fight by his side. Sarge tells that this is not going to happen as he, General and Gizmo will take care and blessed Shadows for keeping them alive. Depending on the buff they have chosen earlier, they would get an upper hand in this fight. After General manages to defeat the drevar, Scout comes with some more bad news. He informs that the the Northerners are hiding in the city and gets confused as to how they managed to get inside. He suspects that they must have traitors among them. Gizmo thought that this sounds like a joke but Scout tells them to forget what had happened earlier and tells that the Northerners had supporters between aristocracy and other castes. Even the Night Warriors are now with them and the prison break is also coming. He thinks that all this is just a conspiracy. Sarge suspects that all of this is because of the fire-worshipers. He feels that it will be all right if the King was here. He then asks General from where they should start.

After they go towards the Fortress, Scout saw some Night Warriors on their way. He suspects that this must be either an ambush or a rendezvous with the Northerners. Sarge then tells that they will deal with this rendezvous and will beat these traitors. He thinks that they must be conspiring with the prisoners as well. He finds strange to see that the Night Warriors are still here and thought that they had also gone with the King twenty years ago. Then General goes to detain the Night Warrior. After they defeat the Night Warrior, Sarge finds out that he is still fighting and orders Gizmo to keep a watch on him on which he responded. Sarge tells Scout to inform them about what is going on as they are going the prison. They arrived at the prison when Scout asks General if they know who leads the prison break. He tells them about Reinhard, an Abdicator who was called a prophet by heretics. But this is not the thing he wanted to tell them. The thing is, that the Immortals didn't dare to execute him. He knew all of this because he had been in the prison for fake allegations at that time. But what matter is that, if Reinhard escapes, then there will be another Abdicator Uprising. He tells them that the Legion is in turmoil and this is not a coincidence. He suggests them to capture Reinhard quickly as his followers are very large. The General fights with the prisoner to prevent the prison break, but they doubt if he is Reinhard as he is wearing the Reinhard's armor. After General defeats Reinhard and the Jail Keeper, Sarge get surprised at how Chief Jailor took Reinhard's side by which Scout already told him about this thing. General and Sarge tried to catch the Reinhard, but he escaped from their grasp. Gizmo comes and tells them to follow him as Sven and his soldiers are already their in the Throne Room.

After they went to the Throne room, Sarge after seeing him gets angry for seeing him inside the Throne Room. Sven says that it looks more like a museum than the Throne Room as the king hasn't visited this place for ages. Sarge orders him to shut his mouth, but Sven then ignores him and tells General that his Sergeant can't defeat him. He tells them about the old times when their tribes respected each other, and their people didn't worship shadows back then. He knows that they were special because they were a warrior like no other. He suspects that their spirit is corrupted by shadows. He then tells them to fight as he is here to find a worthy opponent. If they wins, the Fire Children will leave the Fortress. General then proceeds to fight him. Sven can deal fire damage as he is the leader of Northerners and is immune to ranged attacks like Ironclad. He can also make a powerful ram towards them. Unlike other opponents, Sven cannot be thrown. Despite these combat advantages, the General manages to defeat him after a long battle. After his defeat, Scout comes and learns that it was not Reinhard who escaped from the prison, it was Helga who was wearing Reinhard's armor and they have been tricked. Sven gets excited after knowing this and with this, they have completed their Repentance for his mother- Rescuing the true Prophet. He promised to fulfill the prophecy and will give the throne back to the true queen. He now wants to go home as he has been on his feet for three days, but Sarge stops him by telling that he couldn't leave this place alive. Sven then tries to escape by telling them to try to stop him.

Act 1, Part 1: Detaining Deserters

After General decides to go with the Deserters first, Sarge tells her that they cannot ignore an order from the Immortals as it is very urgent. He gives her his word that they will soon find her Liquidators as soon as they are done with the deserters.

After that, Scout comes and informs them that he is not familiar with the Repentance day, but they are sharpening their weapon and tells them to be careful. Sarge tells to the fire-worshippers that whatever they are planning, they will remember this Repentance of theirs for a long time. Fangirl answers by saying that on this day, the Fire Children will try to bring back something which was lost by the deceased one and tells that he will surely succeed. Scout doesn't like any of that and tells to Sarge that they should move now, but Ironclad stops them and tells them that they haven't done their dinner yet followed by the Fangirl. Sarge scolded them for pleasing some woodland leeches. He then tells Greta that they are losing time, but he will report to the Immortals with a clear conscience as they don't need these garbage soldiers. He tells them to aid lieutenant Seigfried as they should be quick as the Immortals surely want to know about this new prince.

Act 1, Part 2: Finding Liquidators

After they were going to aid Lieutenant Seigfried, Tarlan comes in their way.

She feels something ugly and that, they need to move quick towards the Fortress as the Immortals need to know about everything they saw.

Act 1, Part 3: Stopping Sven

The party rushes towards the Fortress, only to find out that something is going on inside it. They found out that it is the Northerners who attacked the capital. Greta prayed to Shadows to save the Immortals.

He finds strange to see that the Night Warriors are still here and thought that they had also gone with the King twenty years ago. Then General goes to detain the Night Warrior.

He promised to fulfill the prophecy and will give the throne back to the true queen. He now wants to go home as he has been on his feet for three days, but Sarge stops him by telling that he couldn't leave this place alive. Sven then tries to escape by telling them to try to stop him.

Act 2

As Sven lefts the Throne Room, Sarge finds out that a whole bunch of thugs were with him and advises Advisor not to engage them. King's Advisor gets disappointed after knowing that they let him go away tells them that now everyone will know that the Legion don't have any power over Northerners. He orders them to go to their den and destroy the Heart of the Forest. They will put those Northerners their place once and for all as they have no choice left. Tarlan comes and informs that it cannot be destroyed as it drove the mightiest of warriors insane. Suddenly, some zealots are trying to break into the Throne Room. After General deals with those zealots, Advisor blamed Northerners for breaking out the riots in the city. Tarlan tries to tell him that the situation is unstable already and no one knows what they want to accomplish. He advised them not to go to the Heart of the Forest in the risky situation. Sarge agrees with the prince as they need to know why the Northerners want Helga so badly. Tarlan advises that he will arrange a parley on a neutral territory and will try to keep their calm. He knows that Sven is great at irritating people and he knows how to use it to his advantage.

They arrived at the Fish Market when Tarlan tries to pacify everyone by informing that his people have found the heiress to the throne. He tells to Advisor that they are not fools as King is not going to come back. He corrects him by saying that the woodland people, not the Immortals made the peace agreement with the Legion. Sven tells that its true but they have not promised to the liars usurping the throne. King's Advisor had enough listening to these stories and tells them that both of the King's daughter and his wife died during the Night of the Scourge. Sven then ask if this story which was told by the Immortals is true. He has nothing against their people but he disliked liars and he can prove our good side. Suddenly, some instigators are spreading hatred among the crowd and Sven tells them that his men could lead them to them. After General took down the instigator, King's Advisor tells him that helping them proves nothing in them. They don't know whether the King is returning or not but he trusted the Legion to Immortals and he ends the story with it. But Sarge doubts where is the heiress if he is telling the truth. Shibata comes and tells him that she was hidden away on the Forbidden Island either by the Immortals or the King himself, but her life is now in danger. Ironclad comes and tells him that there men know where the secret of the True Queen is hidden; in an old crypt right by the Fortress and this was said by Prophet. Enraged, Advisor orders Sarge to pacify the crowd immediately. Sarge then asks General that which one of them leads better. After that, the General gets two choices.

Act 2, Part 1: Finding the King's daughter

After General decides to go to find the King's daughter on the Forbidden island, Tarlan tells that one of the agent of his will be waiting for them on the island. It has been a long time since she was looking for the heiress while studying the local customs. He send Shibata for their guide. After hearing this, Ironclad begs for a leave to Sven as he hadn't been on a ship before. He informs him to do what he said if he doesn't come back. Sven accepted Ironclad's request and tells him to look after the General as they are the one who will find the Queen by Prophet.

After they arrived on the island, Sarge feels unwell as he hates the sea and the seagulls. He asks where that girl is who was supposed to help them. Shibata tells him that Tarlan had sent her a message with Aurora, his pet hawk. He feels that she was supposed to be here and tells them to be careful. He also tells him to be polite with the girl. Suddenly, some island's spirits have surrounded them and Ironclad asks if they were their friends. Shibata replies in negative and tells them to be ready for fight. The General deals with those spirits and they prevails. After this, their agent comes out and it turned out to be June. She thanked them for rescuing her. Shibata then introduced her to General, Sarge and Ironclad. Ironclad gets worried after seeing June that she is scared to death and asks what had happened there, but June tells them that she is alright and she found an amulet which belongs to the daughter of the King. She feels that she is here and the locals call her the Priestess of Shadows. She has been visiting this island for several years and managed to get the locals trust, but now they all have disappeared. They told her that Priestess does not grow up and he nightmares are still alive. Shadows of her dreams become real and they and surrounding the islands. After that, the General gets two choices which will affect them in their next fight.

Shibata's Injection

After player chooses Shibata's Injection, it will prevent their opponent from gaining their health when they deal damage to them. After they inject themselves from the injection, Ironclad gets frightened after seeing him injecting the injection and tells him to keep his hands away from General. Shibata corrects him that it is not a weapon as this solution won't cause him any harm, but will keep them from taking his health.

June's Incantation

After players chooses June's Incantation, it will protect them from getting poison everytime they hit their enemy. After that, June tells the rhyme about the forest which has river and inside it, there is a lotus and inside the lotus, there is a palace and so the palace guards are there. She then removes the river dirt as the General is safe today. Sarge gets confused as why June is telling the children rhyme. Shibata then tells him that the rhyme is just a trick to distract General's will and to address their own shadowself.

As they went inside the island, Sarge asks her what kind of nightmare that is as he had seen others like it and now, they are appearing up all over the place lately. June tells him that this island also has a guardian spirit, Midnight Lotus. She gets pacified by dancing and celebrations and without it becomes a cruel Phantasm. Since no one has danced for a long time since their disappearance, it had became a torturous nightmare. Shibata then explains about the Guardian spirit which has a high energy that possesses enormous strength and he suspects that it is the one who is making lesser spirits uneasy. Then Midnight Lotus, who has became a cruel Phantasm attacks the party. Depending on the buff they have chosen earlier, they would get an advantage in this fight. With this, General quickly defends them and they pacified the Midnight Lotus. After it's defeat, the Chief of the Island comes and orders them to leave the island and tell their masters that sooner or later the Shadows will take what is due. June tries to tell him that they don't want to harm to him as they are only interested to see what is inside the cave, but he didn't listen to her and blamed her for bringing evil to them. Suddenly, he disappears as Ironclad wonders that his face looks like he just want his fists to meet. June then tells them that she hadn't met the Priestess in person to person, but she suspects that the locals were hiding her in the cave. But the problem is that it is hard to get inside the cave, but she has an idea. They have to find the entrance and have to perform some kind of ritual in order to open the cave.

Suddenly, more spirits are coming towards them. June suspects that this one looks like Sakhtar and the real one is hiding somewhere. She is the right hand of the Chief and is leading the warriors. Ironclad had also seen these spirits on the Ancient Arena of Woodland Folks and they have to fight in order to calm them down. He them asks if they believe him, but Sarge replies by saying that he doesn't fear to fight them. The General deals with those spirits and they finally managed to calm them down. After seeing them getting disappeared after they bowed to them, Shibata agrees with him. Sarge doubts if this is the ritual they were looking for. June recalls that they were fighting here before each celebration and she thinks that they were opening the cave for the Chief. She tells them to follow her as they have to check what is going on here. After they go towards the entrance, Chief comes and tells them not to come closer. Ironclad tells her that if the chief is here, then she has find the entrance for the cave. Chief then performs some ritual to summon the golem made up of sand and rock. Shibata gets surprised that he must be a powerful wizard because summoning a golem takes a lot of energy and they look dangerous. Sarge tells him that his hammers are what make him really dangerous and he orders Ironclad to deal with the one on the right while he and General will take care of the left one. Chief then orders those golems to attack them, but General deals with those golems and they defeated them. After this, Ironclad tells them that how he did summon those rocks golems, but June tells him to come.

They finally managed to open the cave and they went inside, but Chief orders them to stay where they are and he would protect the Priestess' home if not the locals. Chief then attacks the party, but General quickly defends them and they fight him. Chief possesses the ability to control the island and uses it against the player. Despite that, the General manages to defeat him after a long battle. After his defeat, Shibata tries to pacify him that they are not the Immortals as they have their own agenda. He then asks where the Priestess is as her life is in danger and they want to save her. Chief then tells them that it's too late to save her as the Immortals have taken her. Their people tried to save her, but they killed everyone and he is the one who is left. June then gets sad as they killed everyone and asks him where they have taken away. Chief answers by saying that they have taken her into Bridge-Between, the one that connects the Twin Heads. It is the path which can transfer from one life to the next, but they won't be able to enter there as they have sealed the Bridge. Shibata, after hearing him, remember the words of Helga and she was right about this. She only knows how to get there and he tells them to go back to the mainland. June has to stay there with the Chief to mourn the ones who had died and she tells them that she will join later. She requests to protect the King's daughter.

Act 2, Part 2: Meeting with the Prophet of Light

After they reached their mainland, Ironclad tells them that the Prophet will talk to them when she chooses them. She is always busy in something and know what is what. Helga knew that the Immortals will throw her in the prison. He gets confused as it is the Light or she knew by herself that this is going to be happening. She told them that they should take the General to her after they visit the crypt and it would be led by the Mediator. Shibata recalls that he is the one who taught them about the secrets of the Shadows and asks if he knew where the crypt is located. Ironclad replies in positive and says that he is such a weird man that he couldn't stomach him. He tells him that Sven has told him how to find the True Queen with the help of this man. Suddenly, some thugs are attacking an old man at which Sarge suspects that this is the old man they are looking for. Then General fights of those thugs to protect the Mediator. After they deals with those thugs, the Mediator turns out to be Ling. He thanked them for helping him as he finally meet the General of the Crimson Army face to face. Shibata didn't know about all of this that he had dealings with the Northerners and asks him if Tarlan knows about all of this. Ling tells him that he had been personally insisted by him to do this and no dealings were made without his blessings. He then tells them to follow him. After that, the General gets two choices which will affect them in their next fight.

Ironclad's Pep-talk

If the player chooses Ironclad's Pep-talk, it will prevent their opponent from becoming invincible and enter Shadow form when they lose all health. After they chose this, Ironclad tells them that he doesn't like the Fortress nor the Immortals but there is no place like the Legion. This is then land which gave them birth and Helga knows when to take them back. This is how the Fire Children survived as they have solid roots. They say that there is no shadow in their depth and the Shadows could never reach there. He tells General to reach deep underground with their roots and the Shadows won't be able to harm them.

Ling's Lantern

If the player chooses Ling's Lantern, it will nullify their opponent's shadow energy gain bonus. After they chose this, Ling tells them that Shadow rain has whispered their fate to him and he tells them to look at his pattern which is engraved at his lantern. All the four paths are leading to serenity. All the paths they will embark upon will lead them to themselves. He tells them to be center of their own being and then, the world will bend to their will.

They went to the crypt only to find Tarlan's men have surrounded the crypt. Shibata gets confused as to what the Tarlan's men are doing here, but Ling tells him to stand aside as he will be spared. Ironclad and Sarge, after knowing this, gets angry towards the Mediator and Sarge orders Ironclad to deal with the nomads so that they can't escape. The General then deals with the Scourgebringer which was sent by the Tarlan. Depending on the buff they have chosen earlier, they wold get an advantage in this fight. They managed to defeat him in the battle, but the Scourgebringer infected them with the Scourge. After that, Sarge then threatens them that he will beat everyone if they don't tell what is going on here. Ling tries to explain that Shibata doesn't get information about this plan from Tarlan and requested him to spare him. The plan has been succeeded, as Tarlan thinks. Now that the General is infected with the Scourge, it is up to the Scourge that it will kill them or give them new powers, but Tarlan doesn't know what will happen next. Upon hearing this, Sarge threatens him that he will kill him right here for infecting the General and informs that the Scourge cannot be cured. Ling then tells him that they have nearly destroyed the Legion's true power by themselves, but they still have the Prophet of Light on their side. After that, Helga comes and after seeing the General, she gets excited that they will bring the Legion back in the path of Light and tells them that they will protect them from the Scourge and tell them about the True Queen.

They went into the Throne room when Helga informed them that the King hid away his youngest daughter when she became infected with the Scourge. It escaped death, but condemned her to eternal suffering. The Immortals need the great power of heiress to turn back time to the moment the Sphere was destroyed. They will do it again as they have done it before. Shibata gets surprised after learning that the Immortals will turn back time and said that it couldn't happen as Shadows follow the laws of nature to do remarkable things, but Helga says that Light itself is the source of all these laws of nature. She had set up a meeting with the last Elder and he holds a gift from the True Queen. They say that she is coming from the Shadow World. She then shows the giant sword to General and says that it is bonded to a great soul. The Elder will give them the sword only if the sword chooses them. Then General fights with the Elder to prove them that they are worthy of having this sword. After they defeat the Elder, Ironclad comes and asks them what is going on here. Helga tells about this sword that it's master never backs down. This sword is a token of their unbending will which smashes illusions and pierces time. With the help of this sword, the General can enter Bridge-Between. Suddenly, the Scourge is taking up the General which makes them unwell and Helga tells them to hurry up. They went to look for Tarlan in the main streets when Ling talked about that how he willingly shouldered the burden of being the leader of the Steppe. He is smart and determined to help his people and he had known him for many years. He does all of this for protecting June. The Immortals would have killed her if they found out that she is the real Steppe princess by blood. If he started to spread the Scourge by hiring assassins, he has lost hope and it is leading the world to its end. Ling then tells them about a man whom at which Tarlan trusts more than himself. Earlier, he was a loyal servant to June's father and he is none other than Wei. He is the one who knows what Tarlan is up to. He then advises them to find him to extract some information. Then General manages to detain Wei for extracting information about Tarlan. After seeing Ling with the party, Wei asks if he betrayed the Steppe. Ling answers by saying that he is with common sense and tells him that Tarlan is standing on the edge of abyss and he intends to take them with him. They have to stop him for June. Wei tries to tell that Tarlan knows who the real Master of this world is and he spoke to him. Soon, the Shadow World will consume their world, but he will protect the Steppe as he made a deal with the Master. The Scourge will consume the Legion and the Steppe will be able to settle. Ling corrects him that they can't make dealings with the Shadows as the Fortress, the Steppe and the Woodland will all become Scourge's servants. Sarge then tells them to find Tarlan to find the Bridge-Between so that the General can be cured.

They arrived at the Fish Market when they see Tarlan, who was disappointed after Deng Rao had failed to kill General, but it doesn't matter to him. What matters is that once they are infected, the time is very short for them. Ironclad tries to correct him that he had infected the wrong person as he was informed by Sven to protect them. Ling will not give his support to him as he is leading them to damnation by making a deal with Master of Shadows. Helga then asks where the Bridge-Between is, but Tarlan tells them that they can't defeat the Master as he lost his homeland and he intends to make their world his own. He then proceeds to fulfill the wish of the Master, but General stops him. He fights with his pet Aurora, which is capable of stealing General's shadow energy and can merge to form a giant shadow bird. Despite all of this, the General manages to defeat him after a long fight. Tarlan then asks Shibata if he had gone too far. Shibata doesn't want to be a servant of the Shadows, so he then asks where they can find the Bridge-Between. Tarlan then tells them the story about how he got sick and nearly died. He got there and spoke to the Shadow Voice. It starts from Falcon's Gorge. But they won't be able to enter it as they are doomed. Their wings were broken from the very beggining. Helga tells him that the Light knows his pain, but it gives him no right to hurt others. If he believes, the Light will forgive him and bless him with hope. Helga then tells them to go to Falcon's Gorge to end the reign of Immortals and bring back the Queen.

Act 2, Part 3: The Secrets of Light and the Secrets of Darkness

They have arrived at the Falcon's Gorge when Helga tells them about the Bridge-Between that this is the place where Light and Darkness are locked in a fight and no one knows who will win this fight. The ruler of the world is the one who knows who will be the winner. June comes and guesses that it must be Darkness that will win as the Immortals created a Shadow Legion, but Helga tells her that the Immortals themselves worship the Light so it will be stronger. That is why they could stay in charge. Shibata suspects that they are going after the royal family as if afraid of loosing their power to someone else. Suddenly, a dark Abdicator who serves the Immortals, comes in their way. They won't be forgiven by the Light and General fights with him to access the Bridge-Between. They managed to defeat him and the path is now open. But General started loosing their consciousness as they are being taken up by the Scourge. Helga tells them not to resist as she will guide them to the Bridge-Between. They will die if they don't defeat the Scourge, but if they defeat it, they will be granted an eternal life in the Light and she tells them to trust the Light. After that, the General gets two choices which will affect them in the next fight.

Helga's Chant

If the player chooses Helga's Chant, her chant will protect their opponent from returning damage to them. After they listen this, Helga starts chanting about Patrick, who along with his other soldiers battled atop of the mountain. His soldiers' were winning for three days, but Patrick fell and he died in the night. For one year, rain didn't occur to touch the fields as they were already wet from Lorena's tears, but she has forgiven and they should forgive.

Sarge's Joke

If the player chooses Sarge's Joke, his joke will protect them from loosing their health overtime. After they listen this, Sarge tells a joke about a Nomad, a Northerner and a Legionary who got stuck in the forest at night. They were sitting by the fire, ravens circling in the sky and the wolves howling in the bushes. The Nomad says that he will pay a tribute to the Wolf Mother so her kin won't touch them. The Northerners answers him not to pay for him as the Wolf Mother is a friend of his. Meanwhile, the Legionary says while stirring the stew that they wouldn't like the soup then as he guesses. He tells to General that the Legion inspired fear in both ravens and wolves whereas the Steppe and Woodland were inspired fear in sky and ground and tells them to annoy them all.

After they enter the Bridge-Between, they see Moira as a child who was happy to see them after so long. She thanked Helga for leading General upto here. Helga tells her that they will protect her. Moira tells her that his father sacrificed his soul to the Shadows, but he still loves the Legion and he had forgotten about it, but he will remember. Suddenly, Shadow Mind comes and refers them as the children. It tells them that nothing will change. The King belongs to its Master. His Master is powerful and his army is growing larger day by day. It tells General that they will also join their army as he is doomed. Once Shadows get a hold on their soul, they won't come back. Helga tells them not to listen it as it is lost in time and has abandoned all hope. She points to the star which refers to the Light, says that it will not leave them. The General fights with their Scourge. Depending on the buff they have chosen earlier, they would get an advantage in this fight. They managed to defeat it, thereby curing themselves from the disease. After this, Helga tells Moira to be brave as she will become the True Queen and will lead the country. Moira agrees with her, but she is not the True Queen and Savior of the World as she is yet to be born. Ursus, the Immortal won't let her go as the Secrets of Light and Darkness are what gives him strength. She couldn't understand as she is too young. Suddenly, Helga struck an idea. She tells Shadow Mind that it knows the Three Secrets of the World: Secret of The Light, Secret of the Darkness and their joint Secret from Light. It replies in positive, as its Master knows them, but it couldn't tell these secrets to anyone as it acts on his will, but Moira tells it that it's will is stronger between the worlds and it can speak. After knowing this, Shadow Mind proceeds to tell the secrets about this world.

Shadow Mind then tells about the Secret of the Light and why it left the Legion. When Shadow was looking for a way to destroy it, he appointed the Three Arrows to guard the world from its power. Arrow of Peace, Arrow of Mind and Arrow of Faith were supposed to take an oath in the Temple. But when Shadow got vanished, the rulers of the Legion lost their faith. Instead of swearing the oath, the Legionaries attacked the Temple and were defeated as they didn't want to wait. They lost everything they had instead of having it all. After this, Faith got replaced by Strength and the Legion had lost control over the Sphere. Legionary, an Arrow of Faith, was replaced by an Arrow of Strength, a dynast. They say that faith is power capable of defying the laws of nature and changing the past. It tells that his heart does not know about faith and asks General if their heart knows. The General then defeats the Ghost of the Past to learn the secret of the Light. After this, Shadow Mind continues by telling them that they live in a world of Strength. This world doesn't have the Temple of the Sphere, nor the Arrows as Faith left it the moment the Sphere was destroyed. Shadow destroyed the Sphere and gave his life in order to save the King from the Scourge. He didn't believe that the Darkness could be defeated. After this, the Darkness enslaved the King. Since Faith has already left the Legion, the Light too had left it as it can only exist if there is Faith. Now General knows the Secret of the Light and it proceeds to tell the Secrets of the Darkness. It tells the Secrets of the Darkness and why the King became the Master's servant. It's mother brought it and the Scourge into this world. By the time Shadow killed her mother, the Scourge had already spread throughout the Legion. He gave his life and the power of the Sphere in order to save the King from the Scourge. After this, the King struck a deal with it's Master and became his servant. This was a foolish act done by the King as he earned immortality for himself and his younger daughter, and the endless power for his country. Now she is bound to eternal suffering. The Legion has conquered the whole continent, but the Scourge is killing it from the inside. It asks to General if it has a future. The General then fights with the Ghost of the Future to learn the secrets of the Shadows. After they defeat him, Shadow Mind asks them if they remember general Marcus back in the world that was destroyed. The Immortals tried to regain their power they had lost many times. But he was loyal to the King that he didn't let this happen. But in this world, they have managed to do it as he didn't exist in this world. He lived in accordance with the guidance of the Light without even knowing it. He was an icon that each Legionary could look up to. That's how they kept their faith. But in this world, to prevent the Immortals to lose their power and keep it in constant fear, they gave the country to the Shadows as Darkness is fear. Now that the General knows about the Secrets of the Light and the Secrets of the Darkness, but it's combined secret is still far away. Suddenly, Ursus the Immortal prepares to enter the Bridge-Between and it tells them to go as it couldn't help them. They will be enemies if they meet again and it bids farewell to them.

The General woke up much to Ironclad's surprise as he thought that they are dead. Suddenly, queen Moira, who became an adult comes to meet them. He wasn't kneeling before her, so Helga orders her to do so. After that, Moira introduces herself to Ironclad. She knows his real name, but will keep a secret as she knows how much he hate that. She thanked all of them as Ursus doesn't have any control over her. He will be disagreeing for his reign which is about to end. Helga then requests General to end Ursus and his reign and tells her to believe in Light as they are stronger. The General then fights with Ursus the Immortal to end his reign. He has the ability to use the power of the Light to punish General. Despite that, the General doesn't lose the temptation and they manages to defeat him. There are two ways in which General gets the victory.

If the General manages to defeat him without using shadow energy, they would get blessed by Light. If not, Helga will feel disappointed that they didn't resist the temptation and they will return to the Light someday, as she feels.

June gets happy after she sees Moira who is an adult. She had seen her in her dreams as a child and they were glad that they are finally able to meet them in this world too. Moira was also trying to reach her. Sarge pledges his life, his loyalty and his weapons to her as this day will mark the beginning of the true Legion. She appreciated that the Crimson Army will serve the royal family, as it was always meant to be. But she is afraid that this is the beginning of the end. The end of the world is near as the war is coming between the Light and the Darkness.

Act 2, Part 1: Meeting with the Prophet of Light

After General decides to go to the ancient crypt first, Sven orders Ironclad to protect them as the Prophet considers them the Queen's Chosen one and her champion, even if they doesn't know it yet. Ironclad suspects that the Prophet must be raving again, but he agrees to do it for Sven. Tarlan sends Shibata for their help as he won't be able to accompany them.

After they reached their mainland, Ironclad tells them that the Prophet will talk to them when she chooses them. She is always busy in something and know what is what. She feels that she is here and the locals call her the Priestess of Shadows. She has been visiting this island for several years and managed to get the locals trust, but now they all have disappeared.

He wasn't kneeling before her, so Helga orders him to do so. Despite that, the General doesn't lose their temptation and they managed to defeat him.

Act 3

After knowing this, the party then rushed towards the forest where General knew the history of this and experiences nightmare of a forgotten hero who got disappeared long time before. June wonders if their sleep is always troubled like this. Sarge suspects that they must be dreaming of a battle. June then asks what this forest is. The General then defeats the forgotten hero in their nightmare. The General get woke up by Sarge as Sven's and his people have arrived. After seeing an unknown guy with them, Sarge asks who this man is as he doesn't look like local. Sven tells about this guy that he had been living with them for a long time and since he never told his actual name, they called him Outcast. After knowing this, Sarge then asks how they could trust someone who was keeping his identity a secret. His clothes also doesn't match with their clothes. Then Outcast explains him that he is just an Outcast in this world as he didn't remember his name and doesn't need so. He is the exact kind of person the Heart of the Forest speaks to.

As they proceed, Helga tells them that the Light is capable of showing them the truth as Shadows lead them astray. She points to the Heart of the Forest which is just a tree infected with the Scourge. June then asks her if she is a little bit interested as the Heart hold many secrets that are yet to be discovered. Sven agrees with her as Outcast can hear those secrets from it. The Heart of the Forest has now an important message for them. The message is that the time itself has became distorted here since the Master took control over this world which turns into some kind of ball of thread as they couldn't notice it. Many people got trapped between worlds and timelines with those shadow threads. He also got thrown out from it without any memories or past, but he managed to grasp its secret. He then points to a soldier who is from the another world and has madness in his eyes. The General then defeats the soldier from another world. Outcast then continues by telling that this soldier is a part of the purists' Crimson Army from another reality. Their general is still present here and they have to free him according to the Heart of the Forest. The world rejects him, but he doesn't follow the laws of nature. June then hears of some other eternal shadows. Her father told her that some of them are so big that the time itself cannot consume them completely. She then tells about a place nearby where a great hero was born in that temple. When he died, he became imprisoned there. She then tells them that she knows the way in which they can get there. After that, the General gets two choices.

Act 3, Part 1: The Mysterious Heart of the Forest

After General decides to go to the Heart of the Forest, Sarge forgives June for not going to the Temple first as queen Moira ordered them to do what the Northerners are asking. The will visit the temple as soon as their work gets finished. Outcast knows the temple what June is talking about, but they have to talk to the Heart first as it cries when it speaks of this hero.

They move on to the Heart of the Forest when Sven asks Ironclad if the drevars are ready. Sarge gets confused as if he breed them. Sven tells him that one of his drevar was injured, so his other two drevars will introduce them to the Heart of the Forest. He orders everyone to stay away. The General then accept the challenge of them and fights, but they managed to defeat them. After that, they get two choices which will affect them in their next fight.

Helga's Prayer

If the player chooses Helga's Prayer, her prayer will stop their opponent from creating rifts in the ground. After they chose this, she tells that many books were written about the spirits dwelling in the crypt and a shelf is also dedicated to them in the library of Abdicator's Tower. The scariest book among them is the Earth Breacher and if he can't scare them, nothing could, so she tells them to pray in silence.

Outcast's Technique

If the player chooses Outcast's Technique, his technique will stop their opponent from healing himself. After they chose this, he tells them that many people have tried to stop him by stabbing him in the back, but this is not the most effective of tactics, so he tells them not to let their opponent concentrate so that he will never have an opportunity.

They went to the crypt at night when Sarge admits that this tree is good to watch, but all this tree-worship in his point of view is somewhat weird. Outcast corrects him by telling that no one worships the tree as the Heart of the Forest lives inside it. Sarge gets confused as to what this Heart is. They have few screws loose and they are the ones who have to run around. Suddenly, a man in shadow form attacks them. The General fights him. Depending on the buff they have chose earlier, they would get an advantage in this fight. They finally managed to defeat him after an exhausting fight. The man is none other than the Real Itu, who got trapped for two thousand years in this place. He then informs them about Shadow's Descendant who had got ridiculously strong now and Shadow Mind is acting like his pawn. But he has a weakness, he is alone and they are many. Outcast gets confused after seeing him but Itu tells them that Shadow's Descendant is about to reach the Heart of the Forest and they have to save it. After that, he gets disappeared, much to June's confusion as she has seen him before, but she couldn't understand these feelings. Outcast then tells them to go back to the Heart of the Forest as something has happened over there.

They went through the forest when Ironclad remembers Sven's order to take General to meet him as they are having a party here. The Immortals have sent their troops and everything over here is a bit of mess. Helga heard some screams which are of her relatives who had been turned into Dark Abdicators and asks them if they will be able to stop them. They were bringing some weird stuff and singing songs about a wheel. Suddenly, Greta comes and informs them about the Wheel of Time which cannot be stopped and will only turn backwards from now on. The General then fights with the Dark Abdicatress and defeats her. After that, Greta tells them that the Master will cleanse them and put them on the path of Shadows as she feels that their minds were lost, but Sarge then asks her if the name of the rightful queen not mean anything to her. Greta then informs them that the world has now only one ruler. Seigfried was the one to understand this thing. They quickly rushed back to the Heart of the Forest when Immortals have sent the Dark Abdicators to attack them. They wanted to take down the Heart of the Forest, much to Sarge's confusion as what they need from it. Helga tells him that the Immortals are just acting like the Master's puppets as he wants to destroy it. Suddenly, Red Lion attacks them but General quickly fights back and defeats him. After seeing Red Lion, Sven gets confused after seeing them afraid of something. They have managed to take down all of the Dark Abdicators, but one of them have managed to summon the Millenium Wolf- the patriarch of all drevars.

Upon seeing shadows corrupting the Holy tree, he threatens them that he will burn all of them and create new Fire Children from their ashes. Sven tries to reason that it hides the Heart of the Forest and requests to spare the tree but kill him instead. Millenium Wolf tells him that he rejected the Fire and that he will burn the Woods down so they can be reborn again. Sarge tells him that this land now belongs to queen Moira and if he tries to set fire to it, he will not spare him. Millenium Wolf assumes him as Kagun, his father and tells him not to stand in his way in which Sarge tries to tell him his actual name. He requests General to help him. The General fights with him. Millenium Wolf doesn't not have a shadow bar but a unique fire bar which gains fire energy everytime he uses Fire abilities. However, with the help of the Heart of the Forest, the General managed to outsmart all his abilities and proved to be victorious at the last. After that, the Heart of the Forest comes out and thanked Patriarch for freeing her with fire. He has shown the truth about the Darkness and the Light: one cannot exist without the other. After seeing her freed, everybody started kneeling before her, even the Great Patriarch couldn't believe his eyes and sees her as a lost but no evil inside her. The Heart reveals that the Light is the source of the Shadows. She requests them to free his son from the shackles of the darkness as his son, the Master of Worlds forgot this secret. Itu is no longer alone as they are all together, so she tells them to protect Moira as she has the power to command the Voice of the Shadows and bids farewell to them. June then tells them to get the power of the Hero and protect queen.

Act 3, Part 2: The Master's trap

They went through the Bamboo Forest when June tells about her father that when the Immortals have replaced the king, his father was very young. Only their agreement with the king had prevented them from getting rid of them. The Immortals took their land and left them alone, but they didn't dare to come into the Hero's Temple. That hero had left the shadow energy into their world through the Gates of Shadows. After that, he never forgave himself for it. So he disliked shadows but they got him in the end. The king then took his life force and got disappeared, but the hero got trapped inside the temple he was born before. Suddenly, they saw some Legionaries which were sent by the Immortals blocked their way and General then manages to defeat them. After that, a shadow ghost is watching them from somewhere. After that, the General gets two choices which will affect them in their following fight.

June's Secret

If the player chooses June's Secret, it will prevent their opponent from using the protective concentration. After they chose this, June tells them about her father who watched the Hero's ghost closely and he noticed something important: the Hero has retained his defensive fighting style. His people taught her that balance is the most important thing. He becomes invulnerable by concentrating his energy in a state of balance. She then shows them some moves so that the Hero couldn't use his defensive concentration.

Sarge's Plan

If the player chooses Sarge's Plan, it will prevent their opponent from summoning powerful shadow weapons. After they chose this, Sarge tells them that Out Squad was formed to prevent the Scourge from spreading everywhere. The worst ones were the shadow beasts that could grow and only god knows what instead of hands. So they came up with a method against it and then tells to them.

They went inside the temple when they saw the contamination of the hero. June warns them that this would be the end of them if they lose their lives. Helga still doesn't believes if he is the one who brought shadow energy into their world. Outcast then replies her in positive that hating them is what makes him brought the shadow energy. After seeing them, the hero attacks them but General quickly defends them and they fights with him. He has the power to either having the protective concentration or summoning giant shadow quickly depending on the choice they have chosen earlier. After a long fight, the General manages to defeat him. Then the hero showed up and he is none other than Shadow. He was finding the General for thousands of years and they finally came here according to May. He then warns him about his son that he wants to open the Gates of Shadows and only Moira can stop him from doing so. So, he is returning the king to the world only to get rid of her so that his plan won't go in vain. He then forgives them for beating them and he requests to give him hope as he wants this world to live. After saying so, he disappeared. After knowing this, they went to inform queen Moira about this incident.

Moira couldn't believe with her eyes that her father is coming back. She said about her father that he will ruin the Legion and that's why he is dangerous. After they all protect Moira, they saw in the main streets that many people are getting manipulated by the Master. The General then deals with the Master's servant to clear the path towards the Legion Fortress. They managed to defeat them. After that, they went through the Eternal Rest, only to find out that it is also infected with the Scourge now much to Helga's dismay. It is supporting the thin barrier between their world and the Shadow World and they were afraid of getting this barrier breaking. Suddenly, a Master's soldier comes to attack them, but General deals with her. They defeated her to clear the path once more. They were shocked to see that it's Mother Death who was executed earlier. The dead ones are coming back and so the disaster is also following them. Helga feels uneasy after seeing this incident and tells them to return to the Throne Room.

The party immediately returns to the Throne room, only to find the King is waiting for them there. Moira was pleased to see her father, but he warns them not to approach since his Master wanted to take them down using him. Sarge angrily asks who this abomination calling himself "Master" really is, only to be revealed by the King that the Master is trying to find his way home by opening the Gates of Shadows in all planes. Before his mind was completely controlled, the King begged the General to protect his daughter Moira and to end his Master's rule over him. The General then fights with him to end the Master's rule over him. In this fight, the General has to win only one round but King has three lives and after losing two lives, he gains the ability of Shadow Onslaught which can close the gaps between the General. Despite that, the General manages to end his Master's rule over him. Before he died, his last wish was to look after her daughter. Moira thanked them for freeing him from Master's power. Ironclad comes and seeing Moira upset, he asked if they had upset her, but Sven tries to calm her down that his father and her mother are both partying at the sun shore as they were good friends. He gives them her word that they will find that Master and will teach him some manners. Ironclad them informs them that something went wrong in the grove and their general has also showed up there. The Heart of the Forest was right about it, so Outcast tells them to follow him to free the general and to defeat the Master.

Act 3, Part 3: Aftermath

They arrived at the forest, only to find that the Master's army had reached this place already and they see their general who looks very handsome. Sarge asks who this one standing really is. The general named Marcus tells them that the next day, they will attack the Dome and will defeat the Heralds and the Sphere once and for all. Suddenly, he sees the General, wondering that he had seen them before and he knows them. After that, a Shadow Gryphon tries to attack the General from behind, but General takes care of it and they defeat him. Marcus suddenly remembers them and requests to June and Outcast, whom he refers him as Itu to destroy the Dome as his people were killed. Suddenly, Kitsune comes and after seeing the General, she refers to them as Shadow's Descendant or Proxy. Nanami who was following her, tells her that she couldn't pounce on anyone like this as her Proxy is now a Crimson Army general. She was surprised after seeing two generals at the same place. Marcus tells them to stay away as he will kill them if they come close. The loop is almost broken now and the matter is deteriorating. It feels like they are getting into the future. After that, the General gets two choices which will affect them in their next fight.

Nanami's Support

If the player chooses Nanami's Support, her support will keep both of them in shadow form permanently. After they chose this, Nanami gives them the protocol. Kitsune worries if they will be safe with this protocol. Nanami tells her not to patronize them as they can take care of themselves.

Kitsune's Support

If the player chooses Kitsune's Support, her support will prevent both of them to use shadow energy in the next fight. After they chose this, Nanami asks if she is going to use the shadow field suppressor. Kitsune replies in positive, as she doesn't want to hurt themselves, especially Proxy.

As they get into the future, Ironclad, Sven and Helga gets disappeared, much to June's surprise. She then asks who those iron people are. Nanami corrects her by telling that they are made up of advanced materials and first thing is that she shouldn't call a bot an iron as it is insulting nowadays. June remembers them as they both work at the Committee of Strength, but she couldn't remember clearly. Nanami then tells her the second thing that a human can remember events from all timelines, even if they don't realize it and she gives the example of June. The third thing she tells is that they should speak to general Marcus and they are lucky to have him here. Fourth thing she refers to those guys who aren't letting them speak in private and it's a small hunter squad. The General then fights with the hunter. The General will either be in permanent shadow form or not using shadow energy depending on the buff they have chosen earlier. After they defeat the hunter, Marcus then asks where they are and what this place is. Nanami said that it was his wish that had came true in this world. She points to the Dome which is destroyed. 3644 people have died there, among them 500 were children. One and a half thousand were elders. She then points to the soil which got corrupted with shadow energy for hundred of years. The Wasteland is now breeding beasts and crippled people. She then tells about their miserable lifestyle as they survive on shadow insects and the Legionaries finish the ones they find. She then asks if he wants her to continue.

They went towards the destroyed Dome when Kitsune tells her that Marcus had his best intentions in mind to which Nanami agrees by telling that these horrors are happening because of people like him. Marcus is fulfilling his duties, but June tells her story that she used to sit near her father's throne, wearing a dress and smiling to everyone. But her dresses costed as much as half-year rations for a peasant family and her father accepted her view. Marcus angrily tells her not to compare him to her. He then gives two options- either to be born as a boy or to fight from the day she was born. Suddenly, a shadow angel comes to attack them, but General deals with those angels and they managed to get rid of them. Kitsune then asks Nanami if she can do something for those mindless bots who are intruding this place from the Shadow World. June has seen such bots at the island for protecting princess Moira in main world. Nanami then struck an idea. She hacks those bots and then send them to guard Moira in every world so that the Immortals can't reach her. However, this is a temporary measure as sooner or later, somebody will find them and their reaction will be same just like they found a lost heiress to the throne. After that, they will get her out of the island and infect her with Scourge. As they continue more, Marcus decides not to sit here listening to their accusations as Shadow's Precepts will be living. Itu then mysteriously appears and tells him that even Shadow himself abandoned his precepts. He made the world suffer and he admitted the fact. He was the one who opened the Gates of Shadows. He closed them but it was too late as the Night of the Scourge struck the Legion. Marcus then made up his mind that he will kill all the shadow beasts, but Kitsune stop him as she points towards the Master's servants which are multiplying. Suddenly, another shadow angel tries to attack them, but General again defeats them. June doesn't recognize Marcus, worrying Kitsune that the Master will also make an advantage out of this one day. Nanami says that he wouldn't be able to defeat her, so she orders Shibata to do something right now.

The Void Room is falling apart. It creates the simulation of the Marcus' Village as it's farewell message. Marcus initially doesn't get what happened to this place, although it doesn't take long till he remember something about it. Nanami tells it as the village where he was born and raised. It is this village only where he decided to fight shadows and asks him if he remembered how he wanted to destroy the Dome. Marcus replies in positive as his father and mother both were killed by the Liquidators when they were infected with the Scourge. Nanami doesn't know what pain feels like, but some say that it's like if their curcuits were melting. Kitsune then raised his hope that they will manage to take him out of the time loop as they are stronger than his shadowself. The General then fights with Shadow Mind to free Marcus from time loop. Being a sentient entity made up of pure shadow energy, Shadow Mind is invulnerable to physical attacks. In order to deal damage, the General has to be in shadow form. After a long and exhausting fight, the General proves to be victorious.

Act 3, Part 1: The Master's trap

After General decides to go the Hero's Temple, June tells about her father that the hero he told her is special. He was the one who brought Shadows into their world and that he will be the one to rid them from them. If they bring this hero back to life or talk to him, many things will change, and she then tells them to go to the Temple.

They went through the Bamboo Forest when June tells about her father that when the Immortals have replaced the king, his father was very young. Only their agreement with the king had prevented them from getting rid of them. The Immortals took their land and left them alone, but they didn't dare to come into the Hero's Temple. June's Secret

Moira then tells them to leave her alone as Sven has a favor to ask. The General, Sarge then went towards the Heart of the Forest, leaving her alone.

Act 3, Part 2: The Mysterious Heart of the Forest

After that, Ironclad comes to inform that the general of those soldiers from another world has appeared in the forest.

Nanami doesn't know what pain feels like, but some say that it's like if their circuits were melting. Kitsune then raised his hope that they will manage to take him out of the time loop as they are stronger than his shadow self.

Conclusion

Shadow Mind then finds itself on the Core realm once again. It states that it took an eternity to do so, but it is finally here. Suddenly, the Heart of the Forest appears who is none other than May. She then tells it that only it can create this world from scratch and it is lucky that it has got that opportunity. Shadow Mind can't break the Stranger's will, as it has to create a world according to his wish. May tells it that it still hasn't lost it's spirit yet and it will be a waste as it had been through painful transformations, which gave it peace, intelligence, and faith.

As Shadow Mind prepares itself to go to the main world, May tells it that it might obey to Stranger, but now it is having its own will and at the Bridge-Between, it's will is especially strong. May then asks what world does it want, as it can fulfill its own wishes too and no Strangers can stop it from doing so. Shadow Mind expresses it's wish: It wants May to live again.

Shadow Mind then enters into the main world which was destroyed earlier which marks the beginning of the Gates of Shadows.
