The Lamb is the recurring special event raid-boss of the Ritual Battles event, encountered on the first floor of the Underworld. In his current and latest reprise, he has a shield of 5,853 points which must be destroyed within 8 minutes and 10 seconds by 4 players before they can defeat him.

Every each season of the Ritual Battles event has a distinct appearance for The Lamb. His appearance ties in with the Ritual Battles event's current theme. Except for the very first event, which isn't themed after a specific Eternal, the theming of these events is based on several Eternals that are included in the event's storyline, which now includes Volcano, Fungus, and Karcer.

Story[]

The Lamb is a shaman and the head of the cult that lives in the Underworld. In order to prevent the Eternals from descending to Earth, he and his followers have dedicated their lives to keeping an eye on the infernal deities. To placate and amuse the spirits of an upset Eternal, they carry out their duty by engaging in ceremonial combat.

At first glance, The Lamb's impression appears arrogant and scornful, since he was immediately upset and underestimated Shadow during their first meeting, saying that he does not appear to be as great as the stories claim. Upon his defeat at the hands of Shadow, he displays a more amiable demeanor and sense of sportsmanship, praising Shadow for his prowess. The Lamb gradually warms up to Shadow following their further encounters, as Shadow helps him with the cult's problems, discarding his derisive attitude and exposing a more straightforward yet honest nature.

The Lamb's uncompromising and proud exterior belies a profound concern and care for his followers and the safety of the world. He is driven by the firm belief that the importance of the cult's activities is the only thing standing between the world and the wrath of enraged Eternals.

In order to challenge The Lamb, players require one of the following:

2 event keys (called Face of Darkness) are given to players at the start of each event for free. Keys can be obtained later from completing daily quests, or by purchasing them from the raid shop with gems (price varies with each new season),

The Lamb does not have a Power Mode in this year's Ritual Battles events, in contrast to last year.

A chance to trigger Helm Breaker, which allows The Lamb to increase his Head Hit damage for 5 seconds after dealing a head hit to the player.

A 20% chance to trigger Pain Rage, which allows The Lamb to increase his damage for 8 seconds after receiving a Head Hit from the player.

A chance to allow The Lamb to gain 300% magic recharge after receiving hits to his body and head.

A chance that The Lamb's magic would deal 200% more damage, which will also decrease his own health by 10%.

  • Invisibility IconInvisibility Blue (1st season only)

The Lamb can turn invisible by throwing a smoke bomb into the ground. He will remain invisible unless the player damages him over time, deals a large amount of damage, the round ends, or the player or he is defeated.

  • Steel Foot IconStunningFoot (2nd season only)

A chance for The Lamb to knock the player down with a kick. The chance is doubled when he's in the air.

  • Crimson Corruption EnchantmentBloodCurse (2nd season only)

The Lamb will inflict Crimson Corruption to the player after dealing a certain amount of damage to them, which will deplete the player's health for a duration of 5 seconds which gets refreshed for every successful melee strikes he does. He can increase the stack of the enchantment by up to 3 stacks by dealing further damage to the player, with each stack increasing the power and overall duration of the enchantment.

  • Tempest Rage EnchantmentTornado (3rd season only)

The Lamb can charge up Tempest Rage by successfully accumulating attacks, which is visually indicated by a swirling aura around him. Once fully charged, his next successful hit will deal 350% damage to the player and knock them away a great distance. He may be prevented from fully charging this enchantment by dealing hits to him.

  • Poisoning (Weapon) EnchantmentIntoxication (1st season only)

A chance to inflict Poisoning to the player after getting hit by The Lamb's weapon, which will deplete their health by 3% per second for 5 seconds.

  • Stun (Weapon) EnchantmentStun (2nd season only)

A chance for The Lamb's weapon to stun the player for 5 seconds after dealing a successful hit.

  • Bleeding (Weapon) EnchantmentBleeding (3rd & 4th season only)

A chance to inflict Bleeding to the player after getting hit by The Lamb's weapon, which will deplete their health by 6% per second for 5 seconds.

The Lamb can become invisible after throwing a smoke bomb to the ground and stays the same until the player damages him heavily, the player deals a critical hit, or the round ends. While invisible, The Lamb will not use ranged weapons or magic.

The amount and variety of items rewarded depends on the players' final position in the raid damage ranking.

Blessings of the Cult[]

Blessings of the Cult coins are the exclusive currency of the Ritual Battles events. It can be used to purchase the Ritual Chest in the raid shop or to exchange with elixirs. The amount of Blessings of the Cult rewarded depends on position of players in the raid damage ranking, where they can receive up to 210 to 250 coins by placing 1st (varies with each event). Players can check the amount of their collected currency in the dojo.

Ritual Chest[]

RitualChest

Ritual Chest is the main objective for collecting the event currency. This chest can be opened by exchanging it for 600 Blessings of the Cult. The contains one equipment item exclusive to the event, as well as various other consumables.

2024 chest contents[]

The highlight reward of the Ritual Battles 2024 events is the Spore Soul Set, with each new season introducing one part of the set. Collecting all the equipment belonging to the set will unlock the recipe for mythical enchantment Cordyceps EnchantmentCordyceps.
