–Sven challenging the General |
He later attacks the Legion fortress along with a group of his men, and succeeds in penetrating the fortress guard, arriving in the throne room. The General and his men arrive there, and Sven challenges the General to a fight, promising to leave the fortress if Sven is defeated. The General accepts the challenge. As the leader of the northerners, Sven gains the ability to control fire in this fight, giving him an advantage. However, despite all odds, the General bests Sven. It is revealed that Helga succeeded in saving Reinhard, who the fire children consider their prophet. With this he completes his mother's repentance. He mentions plans to put the true queen on the throne. Despite this, he and his men leave the fortress, defeated.
During a peace negotiation hosted by Tarlan, the nomad prince, it is revealed that he and his northerners have no enmity against the king, and that his ulterior motive is to stop the Immortals, who are trying to usurp the throne. To do this he is trying to find the true queen and bring her to the throne, and the General agrees to help. The northerners believe that the queen is being hidden in a crypt which is not too far away from the Legion fortress. However the Nomads believe that she is stranded on a Shadow Island. The General choses where he would like to go first, and Sven sends Ironclad along with the General to protect him, as the prophet Reinhard had predicted that the General will find the true queen.
