Survival is one of the main modes of play in Shadow Fight 2. It is introduced in Act I after completing stage 6 of the Tournament, and is available for play in other acts right from the start. Survival has a different playstyle from other modes: It comprises ten consecutive rounds in the first six Acts and six rounds in the Interlude and after. In each round, the player faces Ninja from the current and the preceding act (Looters and Incubator Soldiers in Act VII), equipped with various weapons. With the exception of the enemies at Incubator survival, no opponent appears more than once per battle.
The player has to survive all 10 or 6 rounds in order to score a win and get the full reward including the fight bonuses; failing at any round is considered a loss. Each round has a fixed reward of its own and when the player fails to survive a round, the reward of the last round passed is given, plus the fight bonuses. Every round must be played right after the previous, and players cannot switch equipment between rounds.
Survival Mode provides a very small amount of XP per win, so it is not a recommended method of leveling up. However, it is a good way to farm coins and green Shadow Orbs if the other modes of play are too difficult and the player does not have enough coins to upgrade or buy equipment.
Survival Mode has an ascending difficulty with the first round being the easiest and the last being the most difficult. After completing any round, the player has to continue the following with however much health they have remaining, though it replenishes by 10% at the start of each round.
Playing Survival in Eclipse mode grants the player green shadow orbs in addition to the coins. The Ninja, as per common sense, are harder to defeat in this mode.
The following are rewards given for completing rounds of survival in every Act.
Act I: Hero Reborn[]
The player gets the respective reward for the last round they completed successfully.
At the completion of round 10, the player is awarded the achievement "Panda Bear". At the completion of round 10 in Eclipse, the player is awarded the achievement "Through The Thicket" .
This battle takes place in a bamboo forest. The soundtrack played is "Samurai Spirit" by Lind Erebros.
Act II: Secret Path[]
The player gets the respective reward for the last round they completed successfully.
At the completion of round 10, the player is awarded the achievement "Forester". At the completion of round 10 in Eclipse, the player is awarded the achievement "Dark Forest" .
This battle takes place in a green forest. The soundtrack played is "Forest of Death" by Lind Erebros.
Act III: Trail of Blood[]
At the completion of round 10, the player is awarded the achievement "Swamp Warrior". At the completion of round 10 in Eclipse, the player is awarded the achievement "Dead Marshes" .
This battle takes place in a swamp land. The soundtrack played is "Master Skills" by Lind Erebros.
Act IV: Pirate Throne[]
The player gets the respective reward for the last round they completed successfully.
At the completion of round 10, the player is awarded the achievement "Spelunker". At the completion of round 10 in Eclipse, the player is awarded the achievement "Monster Cave" .
This battle takes place in a cave. The soundtrack played is "Cave" by Lind Erebros.
Act V: The Greatest Temptation[]
The player gets the respective reward for the last round they completed successfully.

At the completion of round 6, the player is awarded the achievement "Presumed Innocent".
This battle takes place in a factory. The soundtrack played is "Factory" by Lind Erebros.

Trivia[]
- Losing in the first round of survival rewards players with 0 XP, except in Act VI: Iron Reign (before Interlude) and Act VII: Revelation; in which players are rewarded with 20 experience points.
- An exception to this is the version of Factory survival where players fight Cronos: losing in round 1 rewards the player with no experience.
