Son of Heaven

Son of Heaven is the Chinese New year special raid-boss, encountered in the first floor of the Underworld. He has a shield of 8,561 points which must be destroyed within 9 minutes and 30 seconds by five (4 in Power Mode) players before they can finish him. Fights with Son of Heaven carry random rules.

Story[]

The Chinese New Year came, Son of Heaven descended from the heavens to celebrate the festivities among peoples. And the story about Shadow who went through the Gates of Shadows and crushes the very forces of nature, has reached to himself. He then challenged the player in a duel, as he hadn't stretched his fighting skills for along time.

Perks and enchantments[]

Son of Heaven can become invisible after throwing a smoke bomb to the ground and stays the same until the player damages him heavily, the player deals a critical hit, or the round ends. While invisible, Son of Heaven will not use ranged weapons or magic.

  • Lightning Storm

Son of Heaven can use a deadly magic by levitating and meditating. While levitating, he spins his swords to hit Shadow, knocking him down or preventing him from interrupting the skill. He summons a storm wherein lightning from the sky perpetually attempts to hit Shadow, instantly knocking him to the ground and dealing damage on impact. Son of Heaven remains in this state until knocked off by the player using any form of attack, or until the round ends. The lightning bolt is counted as a magic attack; therefore, it cannot shock the player, or deal head hit or critical damage. Hermit also use this ability.

A chance to set a delayed explosive on the players, which will detonate after 2 seconds after being hit by Son of Heaven's shuang gou.

A chance to allow Son of Heaven to increase his magic recharge by 700% from getting hit.

A chance to increase Son of Heaven's melee damage by 200% for 5 seconds after being hit.

A chance that the player will start to lose 6% health per second over 5 seconds after being hit by Son of Heaven's ranged weapons.

A chance to stun the player for 5 seconds after a successful hit from after being hit by Son of Heaven's shuang gou.

Reward[]

Defeating Son of Heaven will reward the players with some small or medium Charges of Darkness, tickets for Mystery Box's Lottery, keys and several number of Patterned Coins.

Patterned Coins[]

Patterned Coins are the exclusive currency for Chinese New Year update. They can be used to purchase the Dragon's Chest from the in-game shop or use them to buy Elixirs. The numbers of Patterned coins rewarded depends on the players' position. They can get up to 30 patterned coins from a single raid. Players can take a look at how much Patterned coins they have collected in the dojo.

Dragon's Chest[]

Dragon's Chest is the main objective for collecting Patterned coins. It can be purchased once the players has collected at least 600 coins. It also can be purchased with 249 gems. Dragon's Chest contains a random item from the Valentine's and Chinese New Year set and other consumables.

  • Son of Heaven, or Tianzi (Chinese: 天子; pinyin: Tiānzǐ), was the sacred imperial title of the Chinese emperor. It originated with the ancient Zhou dynasty and was founded on the political and spiritual doctrine of the Mandate of Heaven. The secular imperial title of the Son of Heaven was "Emperor of China".
  • Currently, he is only character who uses spacing in his name.
  • He and Fury are the only characters who use weapons that doesn't match with their avatars.
    • Son of Heaven is depicted wielding a pair of Ceremonial Shuang Gou, but he uses regular Shuang Gou instead. Fury is the opposite of him: She is depicted with the regular Shuang Gou in her avatar, but she uses the Ceremonial Shuang Gou in battles.
  • Son of Heaven is the only raid-boss depicted with a weapon in his avatar.
  • His avatar resembles an unused fighter from the game's files.
