Side Effect is the name of a thematic event in Shadow Fight 3. This is the sequel to the original Side Effect event. This event also introduce a new unique set called Liberator.

Main Story[]

A No Way Out from the Loop[]

June, worried, went to Ishtar and Shibata to ask where Descendant Shadow was, as she knew that they both had frequent contact with Descendant. She said that he/she (the Descendant) had disappeared and she needed the Void Room to find him/her.

In another place where Descendant is, a stranger appears from a magical portal, claiming himself as a scientist and a time traveler from the future. He needs help in taking care of his clones, which are formed as a side effect from the time travel, and are now trying to kill the stranger. He has lots of work to do, and he promises to reward the player if they help him.

Shibata found the Descendant, where he/she was trapped in the Temple of the Hero, and said that a space-time anomaly is keeping him/her inside. Hearing the information from Shibata, Ishtar then ordered to start the "Steppe Wolf Queens" operation to free him/her.

The Starlight Cult[]

Shibata thought that he was lost, but Indigo appeared and denied that she and Ishtar had gotten tickets to the mortals' show, which had started now. After some conversation, Indigo finally agreed to help, and said to follow her to the portal.

Without Shibata, the trio entered the portal. But instead of arrived at the Temple of the Hero, they arrived at the Absolute distance future. The kind that everything will come to, no matter what the starting point. Then Indigo said that they have to get rid of some clones in there as the starter to solving the paradox.

Indigo tells that the one who causes all the abnormal rifts endlessly creates his own clones by jumping back in time is the Stranger. One day, he want to reopen the Gates of Shadows, but he will be thwarted. After that, she tells that they've temporarily neutralized the paradox, ask the others to back to the portal.

Soldiers of the Eternal Dark[]

Indigo tells that the Absolute future is full of paradoxes, and very complex but stable system. The Stranger draws power from that future, and by defeating his clone, and weakening the Absolute Future, it weaken him as well.

June says that she feels strange when seeing the accelerator tower. Indigo replied that she was the one who built the tower.

Another paradox has been temporarily neutralized. Now, they can return to their original time, the Void Room. June asked Indigo how she knew everything about the past and future. She replied that her teacher, the Liberator, knew everything. He broke the Chains of Time to free Indigo and Mnemos. The Liberator also revealed the secrets of the twelve Void cities and their energies, as he was the author of the Telepathy Manuscript. Hearing the word manuscript, June was reminded of something, which was her grandfather.

Eternal Loop[]

Ishtar asks Shibata how's the Descendant doing. He replied that he/she isn't good, as he/she is trapped in a cycle. Now, the Descendant is about to go for another round, where his/her enemies are getting more and more dangerous. Ishtar than asked him if he had any ideas if the surgery didn't go as planned. Shibata then remembered Scout, a legionary who also trapped in a time loop, but manages to got a slipping into temporal anomaly.

The Stranger repeat his sentence: he has lots of work to do, and he promises to reward the player if they help him to get rid of his clones.

The Stranger comments that the Descendant become stronger and in one day, they can become one. After that, Stranger repeat his introduction again.

Wolf Queens[]

The Steppe Wolf Queens operation reached its final stage as the trio returned to the Void Room, with the clones. Now, they must defeat the clones to complete the operation.

The Real One[]

Shibata greets the trio after spectating the Absolute Future. Now they can go to the temple to free the Descendant. Ishtar said that June can stay, but she refused and wanted to go anyway.

The trio finally found the Descendant, two of them. Only the one who wins the fight is the real Descendant.

The Stranger appears and said it was a very bad time as always. June, threatened the Stranger if he did anything with the Descendant again. Indigo supported June with the threat, until suddenly Shibata contacted them in an emergency as he need help.

Liberator of Mortals[]

June tried to ask if Shibata was okay. He replies that "he", the Liberator of Mortals, is a scary person who knows everything about him, and is stronger than the Void Room. The stranger suddenly appears and says that the Liberator is one of his finest copy.

Indigo angrily says that "he" stole her teacher's outfit. The Stranger explains that the outfit is his from the beginning, and it was he who taught Indigo all along, and Indigo denies that he lied. Ishtar tried to calm her down while saying that the Descendant beat up the so-called Liberator of Mortals in the Void Room.

The Liberator was defeated. Indigo says that there is no more proof that he is the real Liberator, because her master cannot be defeated and no one can compare with him.

Threat Fight[]

By completing the event's main story, players gain access to threat fights, which allow them to completing the event.

Transition Portal[]

To unlock a threat level, the player have to enter the portal transition. Entering the portal requires the threat tokens, which the player can obtain from threat fights. The number of threat tokens required to enter the portal is different for each level.

  • Free: for entering Threat I portal
  • 3 threat tokens: for entering Threat II portal
  • 50 threat tokens: for entering Threat III portal
  • 1200 threat tokens: for entering Threat IV portal

The player will be rewarded with 5 legendary keys after they entered a portal.

Threat Level IV: Hero III[]

  • Registration fee: 50 tickets
  • Mode: Boss (Hard)

Battle Pass[]

Battle Pass is available during this event. By winning event fights, the player can get points to progress in the Battle Pass tiers. Both the Free and Premium tiers follow the same progression, meaning that winning a fight gives the player points for both tiers. If the player has purchased Premium tiers, they can skip tiers instantly by using Battle Pass token.

Prizes from the battle pass are various currencies (Coins, gems, shadow energy, tokens, tickets,), void energy, crystals, packs, keys, upgrade components, spheres, Flaming Ermine skin, items from Liberator (free), Raven of the Looming Night (premium) and Demon Prince (free and premium) set.

Claiming bonus card will give the player with either 20 gems + 30 shadow energy or 10 gems + 75 shadow energy.

Note that the battle pass rewards may vary from time to time or even no battle pass at all when the event is relaunched.

Marathon[]

The Golden Event Marathon is available in this event. The players will get a number of marathon points after winning an event fight. They can use the marathon points to redeem various rewards from the marathon menu.

  • 50 points: for opening a standard Event pack (5000 points max)
  • 400 points: for opening a premium Event pack (5000 points max)
  • 100 points: for winning Adept I fight (10000 points max)
  • 200 points: for winning Adept II fight (10000 points max)
  • 150 points: for winning Master I fight (10000 points max)
  • 250 points: for winning Master II fight (10000 points max)
  • 150 points: for winning Hero I fight (10000 points max)
  • 500 points: for winning Hero II fight (10000 points max)

In addition, the Marathon of Nostalgy is also available during this event (despite not directly tied to the event), which they can claim prizes; mainly the Master tags, Fate of the Telepath armor, and a legendary set pack. The player can get points by winning Indigo's Request fights.
