This article refers to Sarge in Shadow Fight 4: Arena Story Mode. For other uses, see Sarge (disambiguation).

Sarge acts as the boss of Chapter II. He attacks people infected with the shadow disease, and attacks the Hero assuming they are also infected with it.

Being the final boss of the chapter, Sarge has wholesome capabilities, allowing him to destroy the unprepared in a matter of seconds. He also has an incredible amount of health, at a whopping 7500, which makes him even harder to defeat.

When playing as Sarge, the impostor will reveal him his exodus:

"Surrounded by constellations of eyes looking at you. They will burn like supernovas, endlessly and forever. And at the centre of the universe is you, unable to affect anything."

When Sarge is defeated by his doppleganger, he speaks in cipher:

Abilities (Names are unofficial)[]

  • Shadow Squad Leader

When Sarge is in Shadow Form, he is completely invulnerable and all of his attacks deal Shadow damage. While he is not in shadow form, he gets bonus shadow energy for his attacks.

  • Will Suppression

Every time the player falls, Sarge inflicts Will Suppression on them, which deals a small amount of damage and increases the damage they receive for a while.

  • Absolute Trusty Hammer

Sarge will occasionally throw his hammer at the player from a low angle, which deals heavy damage and knocks down the player on hit. Unlike the usual Trusty Hammer talent from the playable version, this hammer throw travels through the entire arena, and can only by dodged by jumping over it.

  • Desperate Mourning

Sarge can perform a stance where he sucks in shadow energy in the area while mourning loudly. He is unbreakable during the mourning, and he won't stop until his shadow bar is full.

  • Perseverance

If Sarge receives a hit while he is in Shadow Form, it will cause an explosion that stuns the player for a short time.

  • Experience

Sarge will be able to enter Shadow Form immediately, without the short delay.

Shadow Abilities[]

Note that the gif here will be from Shadow Fight 3, because they're the same thing.

Name Description Move
Mash SHADOW HAMMERS THROW Sarge throws a hammer backward off-screen, then throws the other hammer towards the player. The first hammer flies behind the player, crushing them between the two hammers. ShadowMash
Kagun's Descendant Sarge strengthens his armor and walks forward menacingly. Once Sarge gets close enough to the player, he uses his advanced fighting technique: Sarge smashes the player's stomach and then smacks their head to the ground, dealing heavy damage as well as inflicting Will Suppression on them. The player can avoid it by simply stepping back until the Walk wears off after 5 seconds or they can get close to him and then quickly sidestep to behind Sarge. SargeWalk

Quotes[]

"Hello, I'm Sergeant Heim. You look like you're still sane. That makes two of us." - Introducing himself.

"You're still lucid, but it's only temporary. I'm sorry, but I won't let you leave the capital. You're already infected. We will die here together." - Attacking the player.

"Accept defeat with valor, warrior." - After the player is defeated.

"What? I screwed up here, too? Goodfight, youngblood. If you really want to help people, go to the Throne Room. There lies the Legion's sacred artifact, our last hope. Only it can burn away this cursed disease. Don't let it fall into the wrong hands! Leave me and go. Abdicator Helga is still on the defensive. Hurry to her aid. Save the Legion. That's an order!" - Requesting the fighter to save the Legion after he is defeated.

Strategy[]

Sarge is not an easy boss to beat. He has an incredible amount of health, around 7500, which makes it even more difficult for the player to beat. Unlike the playable version, Sarge, as a boss deals heavy damage with Will Suppression. A single hit on the player with Will Suppression could be extremely risky and may even instantly defeat them.

He will use Trusty Hammer more often, and if he comes in close contact with the player after performing the move successfully, he will follow it up often with his heavy attack, which will spell doom for the player since they are already under Will Suppression.

However, despite these drawbacks, he can still be beaten with the right perks and crucial timing. With the help of perks like Storm Technique and Iceberg, you can stall Sarge for a long time by keeping him frozen and can even prevent him from making any move.

Once he uses Desperate Mourning, he will not stop until he absorbs enough Shadow Energy to enter Shadow Form. However, if you can freeze him while he is performing this stance, then you can prevent him from entering Shadow Form. Even if he enters Shadow form successfully, you can still avoid him with ease. When he uses Kagun's Descendant, you can sidestep him once he reaches close enough, or you can just walk away from him until the effect wears off. Bear in mind that Azuma's Consequence Management will not have any effect on Sarge if he is in Shadow Form.
