“ | Soldiers of the shadow squad will forever go down in the Legion's history as heroes who defended their homeland from the attack of the Heralds. But for Sarge, these heroes were young guys for whose lives he was responsible. He will forever remember their faces. And the Heralds will never forget him - an unstoppable fighter who swore to erase them from the face of the earth. | ” |
Sarge is a Legion hero in Shadow Fight 4: Arena. The Sergeant of the Shadow Squad with an Old School style and nigh-invincible endurance, he will destroy the will of any fighter who dares to stand in his way.
Unique Abilities[]
Move list[]
Talents[]
Note: Only one of the talents from a level can be selected at a time. This choice can be changed later.
Strategy[]
“ | Sarge's shadow form is very versatile. For example, with the help of invulnerability, you can try to block your opponent's attack and, in return, punish them with a powerful hammer strike. For the Legion! | ” |
Strengths[]
Do not be fooled by his low attack power. Sarge's ability, Will Suppression, activates when Sarge manages to knock his opponent to the ground. While this ability is active, Sarge's attack power will increase drastically and it will deal a lot of damage. Against heroes with lower health, like Kibo and Lynx, a single knockdown could spell doom. Old School moves provide Sarge with more ways to knock down his opponent.
Shadow Squad Leader is, as his description states, quite versatile. Used wisely, Sarge can surprise his opponent during their attack and strike with his hammers, or extend his combos while his opponent is against the corner. Sarge's invulnerability is total; Helga's abilities are useless against him, and not even Azuma's Consequence Management can put a stop to it! It is good for opponents that are fast like Jet and 𝗞𝗶𝗯𝗼.
Sarge's hammers are short-ranged and surprisingly fast, however they have a punishably slow recovery time. With a full Shadow bar, though Sarge can also easily bait his opponent into making an attack, making them vulnerable to an Old School move. His attacks give him good periods of Unbreakable, making him more effective against aggressive, reckless opponents. They also tend to move his hitbox slightly lower, allowing him to duck under attacks like 𝗔𝘇𝘂𝗺𝗮'𝘀 spinning and upper attacks as well as Yukka's cat, Shade.
With his Old School unique ability, Sarge can knock opponents down and can add another attack over and over. Sarge is not a shadow ability reliant type of hero. He is the best punisher. Sarge is High Defensive character.
Weaknesses[]
Though Sarge is unstoppable during his shadow form, that does not mean that he is unstoppable before. As such, Shadow-reliant Sarges can find themselves having a hard time against heroes with anti-shadow methods, like Kate, 𝗔𝘇𝘂𝗺𝗮, Fireguard, and Midnight. It is also not recommended to activate Shadow Form from a distance, as opponents will easily predict and avoid Sarge.
Because of his hammers' shorter range and slowness, Sarge will not be able to fight longer-ranged and/or quick opponents. Shang and Hong-Joo can easily outrange him, while Ling and 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 can strike him easily during his recovery.
Playstyles[]
Knock 'Em Down, Knock 'Em Down Again[]
For this playstyle, Shadow Squad Leader is merely a tool to augment your supreme Will Suppressing power. Going Old School by choosing only one to no shadow-enhancing talents, Sarge will merely become focused on absolutely destroying his enemy. Ensure that you play offensively and mix up your attacks between hammer strikes, grabs, and your ranged attack to keep the enemy off their toes and on the ground.
Fall Damage[]
For this playstyle, you need Trusty Hammer, Dismissed! and Commander's Press, so you first try to Commander's Press. The opponent then dismisses it. Then throw the trust hammer to make the opponent fall down and then do the bottom attack and then use front attack and then heavy attack if you have shadow energy. Try to use it at throwing the Trusty Hammer part.
