Story[]

Void Speaker's Adventure: Battle of Laws[]

After the battle with His All-Seeing Eye, Ishtar admitted that she didn't know that Indigo had so many colorful titles that Sven's titles are just a boy next door to her. Suddenly, Mnemos appeared, explaining that those are just a few of her titles and that she has eleven of them in total - for each millennium of her life. Indigo is glad to see her brother, and so does he in return. He is also glad that she managed to get into the world.

Mnemos is also delighted to see Ishtar, revealing that Indigo had spoken about her so many times that she could be considered as a friend to him. Embarrassed, Ishtar told him it's mutual while calling him as master Mnemos. Indigo complained to Ishtar to drop the 'master' part and leave it to the servants of the Collection as embarrassment would kill her. Mnemos reminded her that Ishtar had spent seven years in the epoch and knows the local customs better, so she cannot judge her. Indigo then turned her back and scoffed. Mnemos is sure that both Ishtar and Indigo have a lot of questions, so he invited them to talk but they don't have much time.

After the talk, Indigo told Mnemos to get down to business. They're ready to start the Battle of Laws. Mnemos asked back to Indigo if they really are and if so, he asked where is the Silver Witch that went to get some shadow jade. Indigo responded that the Silver Witch was suppose to bring it back only to realize what Mnemos is actually trying to say. Mnemos told her that the Silver Witch is loyal to the Dynasty, not to the Void. He revealed that the Silver Witch also once robbed the Order of Assassins, and Indigo had underestimated her. He assured her not to be ashamed because she is very smart, so she doesn't have the skill to deal with those who are smarter than her. Mnemos then told them to go to the Emperor's Palace and since no one knew what the Silver Witch is up to, he told them to hurry up.

Finale: The Gates of Shadows[]

Mnemos makes his first major appearance after May saves him from the hands of Lynx in the Accelerator. He asks May who she is and that she looks familiar. May becomes surprised that Mnemos haven't forgotten her. She also states that they've met in the past and Mnemos helped Shadow once before. Thus, she asks for his help in order to defeat Shadow's Descendant. Mnemos instantly recognizes May but he says the Gates have already appeared in their world so she can't do it alone. After Itu neutralizes the suicide agent of the Descendant, May comes to the place with Mnemos and says he knows a way to defeat the Descendant. Mnemos tells the Resistance that it is not an easy way as a lot of imagination is required. Marcus immediately attends and asks for starting already. Then Mnemos starts to inform the Resistance about the plan he has: there is a Hero capable of defeating the Descendant but he only existed in other worlds. They can summon this Hero to their world, using the memory of six people from the Resistance. Mnemos will help them and they will have to stay inside those walls with him. They will have to trust their friends for the protection of the Accelerator. Mnemos last time asks to the crew if they are ready for that and then tough journey starts. Mnemos will use the memories of June, Itu, Marcus, Xiang Tzu, Kitsune-1 and Ironclad due to their strong connection to the Hero in other worlds to bring him to their world.

Therefore, all shards of the Hero are finally collected and the Hero is now ready to be summoned. May applauds Mnemos on his success in collecting all Hero's shards and cannot wait to see the Hero in person. Mnemos said he will need time to summon the Hero using those shards, but he does not know how long it will precisely take. Kibo shows up to report that the Descendant's generals are approaching the tower in an attempt to stop Mnemos from performing the ritual. May, however, is determined to tell him that they are ready to defend the ancient even if it would cost their lives. The Void Speaker's triplets is keeping them from entering the door but the sisters are outnumbered. May orders Void Speaker (or Ishtar as she calls her) to activate the defenses in the communications center and get her people out and also orders Jet to help her. Kibo then informs that Azuma is severely injured, and is now resting in the infirmary with Shibata taking care of him. However, she can barely stand up herself, so May has her take shelter herself and treat her injuries first. Finally, she orders the rest of the hero's friends to defend Mnemos and not to retreat at all, even if they would die as a result. All the Hero's friends team up and form a formidable force to fight off the Descendant's generals and buy Mnemos precious time to summon the Hero and they are successful. June recovered from her headache and asks Mnemos where the Hero is.

The Hero is finally summoned, much to May, Ironclad and Kitsune's surprise. Mnemos then teleports May and Hero to the roof of the Accelerator, much to her surprise. Mnemos is clearing the perimeter again but he called May and the Hero at the Accelerator for a reason. He asks them to listen as there is not much time. Mnemos explains that Kitsune calls the Hero Proximus/Proxima for a reason: It comes from the Void. It is the name of those who approached the state of Ancients. The Hero was not born as an Ancient, but they will become one. They can inherit the Ancient power only partially like Moira, but those who have overcome themselves can one day enter the Realm of Infinity. To prove that he is right, the Hero must defeat Mnemos. Mnemos provides the Hero Moira's Amulet to assist them in their battle with himself and Shadow's Descendant.

After the player (the Hero) manages to defeat Mnemos, he then tells that the world is heading for its end and no one and nothing can stop it. The world will die and so will all of its reflections as its time has come and everything has its time. He furthers tells that all attempts to save the world are futile and advises them to say goodbye to the old world and welcome the new one as it will be different.

After the Hero defeats the Descendant and the Descendant dies, the Gates of Shadows completely shatter and the world is once again obliterated and falls to dust to be born anew. The Hero, now one of the Ancients, is approached by Mnemos in the Void. Mnemos tells the Hero about them being one of the Ancients and the worlds and times are now open to them. Furthermore, he tells them that their journey is just beginning as infinity awaits. At last, he says they will meet again and bids them farewell, encouraging them to keep fighting.

Boss fight[]

Mnemos fought as boss in a friendly duel, to prove the Hero if they can inherit the Ancient power. He fights the Hero using his Composite Sword and can even charge himself and jump and swing the sword over the Hero, dealing massive amount of damage.

Trivia[]

  • Mnemos has a major role in both games related to the downfall of its villains.
    • In Shadow Fight 2, Mnemos, known as Ancient in the game, helps multiple heroes from other worlds in an attempt to defeat Titan, including Shroud and Shadow. He also helps Shadow by rescuing him from Titan if he falls to his sword, thus giving him another chance to defeat the evil tyrant.
    • In Shadow Fight 3, Mnemos collects Hero shards from June, Itu, Marcus, Ironclad, Kitsune-1 and Xiang Tzu to summon the Hero, who is said to be the only one capable of defeating the evil Descendant, but does not exist in the world. He then gives the Hero Moira's Amulet, which comes highly handy in avoiding potential defeats against dangerous attacks they cannot dodge, block, interrupt or even reduce the damage received from them.
  • In the Recalling Mnemos quest, his appearance seems to be quite different from his current appearance.
