Story[]

Marcus led an army that aimed to destroy the Heralds, the Dome, and the Sphere. He almost succeeds, before Bolo teleports him to the timeless dimension, trapping him in an endless time cycle.

Chapter III: Heralds[]

My real goal is the Sphere. My imprisonment started because of it. It's evil, and you mustn't fool around with evil.
–Marcus stating his intention.

Marcus was encouraging his army to attack the Dome when the player, June, and Itu suddenly appear before him and his army. He then commands one of his soldiers to arrest them, but the soldier gets defeated by the player instead. Not wanting to waste his soldiers, Marcus ordered the trio to join him in the "holy war" with the Heralds. They agree to help him and they begin the invasion the next day. When they reach the forest of anomalies, Marcus suddenly glitches and remembers that he has gone through this a million times before and he will forget this again, just like before. This causes all of them to return to the time before invasion.

A Lost Scout from the current time reveals that Marcus holds the whole time anomaly by his own willpower, and the source of all the time illusions actually came from within Marcus himself. The trio must defeat his copy so they can save Marcus and escape the time warp. None of his soldiers will turn against their beloved leader, so the trio has to do the job. A glitched Marcus then challenges the player to fight. After he is defeated, Marcus wakes up from the time warp and the trio can escape. When June considers taking Marcus with them, Marcus refuses because he does not want to leave his men behind in the time loop, even if it means he must be trapped once more.

Marcus' attempt to save his people is futile. He then heads to the temple where the Sphere is being kept, attempting to destroy it. He remembers the Sphere as what is causing him to be trapped and hoping to free his people by destroying it. If the player chooses to support him, he will be given the power of the Sphere at the end of Chapter III.

Chapter IV: Consequences[]

I've always kept my power in check, obeyed orders. But now I'm finally in position! Hear my will! Shadow energy will flood this world and be given to everyone! And natural selection will decide who deserves to live! I'll use my strength to drain all the land's shadow resources! And then, I'll make a new force from those who survive: a Shadow Legion!
–Marcus' speech after he gains the power of the Sphere.

Once chosen to support him, Marcus is now possessed by the Shadow Mind, who has broken free from the Sphere. With his new power, Marcus is done obeying orders and claims that he will be the one giving orders now. He has the power to drain all the land's shadow energy. Marcus plans to create a flood of shadow energy in the world, and a natural selection will show who deserves to live. Then, he will make a Shadow Legion from those who survive. Marcus actually can destroy June and Itu right away, but luckily the player arrived in time. So, Marcus decides to give the trio a chance to prove themselves worthy to enter Shadow Legion by teleporting them to a burning Dynasty village to fight for the Legion. The trio then tries to head to the Sphere Temple to save Marcus from Shadow Mind's control. Thanks to the player, they manage to pass through all the obstacles to the Temple, and eventually free Marcus from the control. Despite this, the Shadow Mind is still hiding inside him, capable of emerging anytime. Due to this, Marcus still hears voices inside his head.

Together with the others, Marcus searches for Ling, who knows about the Shadow Mind and therefore, the party believes he could help them. This leads them to meet a rebel group called "Insusceptibles" and after knowing their plan to cause destruction using the shadow rift, the party comes into conclusion that Ling is trying to warn them about this. After obtaining information from one of their member, the party tries to stop their leader and goes to find this leader. Marcus is having a hard time adapting to the current time, as things are a lot more different as compared to his time. Upon hearing about a Legion Ambassador, he immediately states that Legion never had any ambassador and says negotiations were traditionally only held once, and it led to something terrible. This causes June to remark that Marcus is the only Legionary she knows who takes words seriously.

The party then confronts the Ambassador. He barely recognizes Marcus, as it has been a long time since Marcus disappeared. Upon seeing this Ambassador with his own eyes, Marcus quickly realizes that this shady, cowardly man does not suit to be called ambassador at all and someone like him will be dealt away quickly in Legion during his time. After expelling the Ambassador's soldiers and the arrival of Deng Rao, everybody finds out that the Insusceptibles leader has mislead them to believe that he wants to negotiate with Legion, when his actual plan is to pit Legion and Dynasty against each other. After defeating Deng Rao's bodyguard, the Insusceptible leader, which is none other than Ling himself, appears and shoos Deng Rao away after berating him.

The party is surprised to find Ling is the leader of Insusceptibles. Ling's reasons are that he simply dares to stand up for his people and go up against everyone. He concludes that after witnessing the power of the rift, the power can only land in his hands. After he is defeated by the player, Ling gives them the answer for their question; the trace left by the shadow monster after the rig blown up is the same trace that was left after Gates of Shadows was destroyed. He came into conclusion that Shadow is returning to the world.

Chapter V: Shadow Island[]

Shadow is the only one who can defeat the Shadow Mind, and he will do it at any cost. Ling tells the party that if there is someone knowing Shadow's whereabouts, it is Galen, who was Shadow's disciple.

Galen is revealed to know Shadow very well, as he could describe Shadow's personality really well. He gives the party a map with coordination to find Shadow Island, a place Shadow referred to as his shelter, where he used to return, again and again. Before the party goes, Galen asks them whether destroying Shadow Mind is right. From his experience, Marcus finally acknowledged its power, which he refers to as cowardly and claims that he does not need such power. Galen tells Marcus that he may not need it, but maybe the world needs this power. From Galen's guidance, the party heads to the pier to find his nephew, Phang, who owns the fastest ship in Dynasty. When they pass through the warzone, the party realized how bad the war can affect people, after witnessed deserters from Legion and Dynasty join forces to rob people. Marcus is extremely disappointed in his fellow Legionaries for throwing away their ideals easily. Itu comforts him by telling him that they will help him.

Arriving at the pier, Marcus spotted Phang. The party requests Phang's permission to use his ship. Phang cannot help them, however, as his crew has mutinied against him and stole his ship. They offer to help Phang, and they search for the ship. When they find it, everyone is confused because artificial creatures called shadow bots are on the ship instead of his crew. The player attacks these bots to reclaim the ship, causing their master to come out from the deck. Itu recognizes the man, he is Master Okada, the most brilliant and ruthless of Bolo's assistants. At least that was what he used to be, Okada reveals that Bolo had betrayed him by making Okada an enemy of the whole Dome. All of this is because he goes up against Bolo's way in treating shadow energy; Bolo treats it as if it was an animal, refusing to acknowledge the energy's consciousness merely because he will lose profit. Itu then apologizes to Okada and asks for a ship, explaining their current trouble and convinces him that Bolo's reign is near its end. Okada offers them the ship; he bought Phang's ship from the mutinied crews. Phang joins them, as he is willing to work under someone else's leadership if that is the only way he can protect June, and he steers the ship. The party then sails to the island.

Upon reaching the island, Okada stays in the ship, while the rest go and explore the island. Once the party steps on the island, Marcus starts to get weakened, just like back then in the Sphere Temple. The Shadow Mind rises out, it hears Moira's voice calling it, and it responds to it in a physical form. As the player stops it, the voice is silent and Shadow Mind hides again. Marcus is horrified by the fact that Shadow Mind really could resurface anytime and tells everyone to hurry up. As the party tries to continue, a terrified Phang prevents them from advancing further. He accuses them for threatening June's safety and tries to stop them, only for him to be stopped by the player instead. June convinces Phang that she is alright and can take care of herself. She commands him to return to the ship and keep an eye on Okada, as she does not fully trust him.

The party proceeds to the island. They meet a little girl, who greets them. Marcus recognizes her as Moira, as her voice is the same voice that called out Shadow Mind. After learning about the island, its corrupt Chief, and Shadow from Moira, the little girl decided to join them together to find Shadow, albeit reluctantly. The Chief tried to prevent them from leaving the island by summoning the island totems to block their way, as her disappearance will cause the shadow power of the island to disappear as well. The player, Marcus, and Itu then take Moira to the ship, as it will render the Chief powerless. While June will try to gather the tribe and help them to confront the Chief.

On their way to the ship, Marcus finally remembers that he saw a portrait of Moira at Legion castle. He is then left confused about how could Moira be from his time, and why she is still a child after all these years. Itu is clueless as well; he can only offer the explanation that Shadow somehow made Moira immortal. This leads Marcus to ask Moira how she met Shadow. Moira tells them her past; shadow beasts attacked her homeland, and she got infected by a disease they call Scourge. Shadow promised to cure her and brought her to the island. The Scourge could not reach Moira when she is in the island.

After all the obstacles are taken care of by the player, they manage it to the ship. They, along with June who catch up just in time, sail away from the island. After they leave into the open ocean, Moira suddenly becomes pale. The Scourge's influence is causing her to get weaker, and she desperately warns everyone to run. Before they could do anything, the Scourge has returned and appears upon them, in the form of an angel covered in shadow energy.

After the player fights and destroys the Scourge, Marcus remembers the legend of a foreign hero who saved the Legion from Scourge and rescued their twin princesses. The older sister became their queen, and Legion started to follow the hero's percepts - to clear the world from shadows. While the younger sister got ill and passed away, but Shadow was near her in her last night. Marcus then comes into conclusion that Moira is the missing younger princess.

Chapter VI: Heart of the Legion[]

I don't know how General Marcus made it and looks so young, but I believe it's him. And I believe that the Legion can be saved.
Sarge believing in Marcus.

After reaching landfall, the party bids their farewell to Okada and Phang, with Marcus promising to the latter that they will take a good care of June. With Marcus' guidance, the party reaches the Legion Fortress.

Marcus is happy to be back home after all these years. He tries to speak to a guard, telling him he is general Marcus and they brought along princess Moira. However, the stupid guard does not recognizes them at all and tries to arrest them instead. This commotion causes the queen of Legion, Iolanda, to go outside and check. After Moira introduces herself and June, Iolanda pretends to act nice by inviting Moira and June to the throne room, while she is going to send the rest of them to the guest room. In fact, the queen takes Moira and June into custody and she throws the others to the prison. Marcus requests Iolanda to inform one of the Elders about his presence, they will surely listen. However, all of them had died, except for one person, who is currently imprisoned with them and too old to be sane.

Once she leaves, they are approached by a prison guard, who tells them the truth behind this queen, referring to her as a witch. Marcus is angry when he hears the prison guard talk about the queen in a condenscending manner. The prison guard replies by saying his times are long gone, before introducing himself to Marcus as Sarge, the former sergeant of Shadow squad. Sarge sets them free as he needs help supressing a riot that is going to be started by Dynastian prisoners. Marcus asks Sarge if he saw this coming and whether he reported this, in which he answers that this was not a big secret, some men who were not bribed by Dynasts are defending the queen in the throne room tower now. The prisoners are going to join Deng Rao's army, who are approaching the Fortress. After the player stops their leader, Sarge shows them the way out.

Marcus, together with the player and Sarge, are working together to stop Deng Rao's invasion. While they fend off the force, Marcus learns more from Sarge about how Iolanda has strayed very far away from the true Legion way. Once Deng Rao is captured, Itu informs them that June and Moira are fine, but they are surrounded by Heralds inside the throne room. Marcus had experienced too many weird things lately that he is not so surprised anymore.

Using the secret passage Marcus told them, they made it to the throne room. Marcus then confronts the queen and questions her why she betrayed Legion percepts. Iolanda gets offended and judged by Marcus, she claims that the Elders only cared about the Sphere while she had to care for herself. She accuses Marcus of leaving his homeland at most vulnerable times, in his selfish pursuit of glory, while Bolo helped and protected her. After Itu reveals to her that Bolo has deceived her, Iolanda finally cooperates with them and shows the place where they might find Shadow. She leads them to a crypt, but no one can enter the crypt as there is an anomaly that turns the weak willed into aggressive husks. Marcus and the others then stay behind as the player, the only one capable of resisting the effect, enters the crypt alone.

Chapter VII, Part II: Behold the Future[]

The party finally reaches the Palace, which looks peaceful and unscathed at all. Jet is perplexed by what her eyes are seeing, as she clearly remembers that the Palace is supposed to be destroyed currently. Itu also thinks he is seeing illusion now, as he sees Marcus there. Turned out that this is really Marcus, who is glitched yet again. Upon seeing Bolo, Marcus accuses Bolo for being the one who has trapped him in this anomaly and starts attacking. After a closer look, Marcus recognizes the Descendant and Itu. He then tells them he was trying to warn the Emperor about Shadow's attack.

Transformation: June's Plane[]

Xiang Tzu takes the prince/ss and Phang to the Resistance camp, located on a fortified bamboo grove. The Mad Master then introduces them to his master, General Marcus. The general welcomes them both and takes them into the camp. Inside the camp, a Resistance member named Yukka asks Xiang Tzu his progress with Heralds. He tells her that the priest did not show up at all, but thankfully they have new benefactors here. Yukka comments that the Heralds travelers they captured have shadow energy, which she refers as superb weapons and she has given it to her Insusceptibles group. Marcus states that he does not need these things, which he refers as demonic weapons. After Xiang Tzu showed Marcus the shadow energy capability by having an Insusceptible warrior fought the prince/ss, Marcus is impressed by both the prince/ss fighting prowess and the shadow energy. Yukka then suggests that they return a old Herald captive - whom they assume to be the leader of Heralds - back to Heralds and unites with them to end the Alliance. Marcus disagrees with her, as he does not fully trust Heralds, although he indeed sees no points in keeping this old captive anymore. Xiang Tzu agrees with Marcus' last point, suggesting the old captive to be done away for good, while wondering what they should do about the prince/ss and Phang. Marcus reminds him they will not decide anything without the Guardian's opinion, who is currently questioning the old captive.

Transformation: Itu's Plane[]

They arrive at the Gray Dragon's Dojo, where Galen welcomes them all warmly. Kitsune-1 tells Galen that their old guest is from another timeline and he wishes to see Marcus. Galen is delighted, saying that this authentic Legionary warlord is the best part of their training program. Bolo is disgusted when he sees Marcus trapped in a spatio-loop that acts as a cage, to make money of him. Proxy then executes 126th Protocol and attacks the released Marcus, while Bolo works on destabilizing the loop. They succeed, and Marcus is freed. Bolo questions Marcus if he remembers him and how he ended up like that. However, Marcus is so exhausted that he mentions he does not know Bolo at all, aside from him having the face of a troublemaker. He has been trapped in the loop for too long, a crudely made one at that, the poor man is now only a shadow of his former self.

Transformation: Marcus's Plane[]

While teaching General the secrets of the Light and the Darkness, Shadow Mind asks them if they remembered general Marcus back in the world that was destroyed. The Immortals tried to regain their power they had lost many times. But he was so loyal to the King that he did not let this happen. But in this world, they have managed to do it as he did not exist in this world. He lived in accordance with the guidance of the Light without even knowing it. He was an icon that each Legionary could look up to. That is how they kept their faith. But in this world, to prevent the Immortals from losing their power and keeping it in constant fear, they gave the country to the Shadows as Darkness is fear.

A long series of events later, They arrive at the forest, only to find that the Master's army had reached this place already and they see their general who looks very handsome. Sarge asks who this one standing really is. The general named Marcus tells them that the next day, they will attack the Dome and will defeat the Heralds and the Sphere once and for all. Suddenly, he sees the General, wondering that he had seen them before and he knows them. After that, a Shadow Gryphon tries to attack the General from behind, but General takes care of it and they defeat him. Marcus suddenly remembers them and requests to June and Outcast, whom he refers to as Itu to destroy the Dome as his people were killed. Suddenly, Kitsune comes and after seeing the General, she refers to them as Shadow's Descendant or Proxy. Nanami who was following her, tells her that she could not pounce on anyone like this as her Proxy is now a Crimson Army general. She was surprised after seeing two generals at the same place. Marcus tells them to stay away as he will kill them if they come close. The loop is almost broken now and the matter is deteriorating. It feels like they are getting into the future.

As they get into the future, Ironclad, Sven and Helga disappear, much to June's surprise. She then asks who those iron people are. Nanami corrects her by telling that they are made up of advanced materials and first thing is that she should not call a bot an iron as it is insulting nowadays. June remembers them as they both work at the Committee of Strength, but she could not remember clearly. Nanami then tells her the second thing that a human can remember events from all timelines, even if they do not realize it and she gives an example of June. The third thing she tells is that they should speak to general Marcus and they are lucky to have him here. Fourth thing she refers to those guys who are not letting them speak in private and it is a small hunter squad. The General then fights with the hunter. The General will either be in permanent shadow form or not using shadow energy depending on the buff they had chosen earlier. After they defeat the hunter, Marcus then asks where they are and what this place is. Nanami says that it was his wish that had come true in this world. She points to the Dome which is destroyed. 3644 people had died there, among them 500 were children. One and a half thousand were elders. She then points to the soil which got corrupted with shadow energy for hundred of years. The Wasteland is now breeding beasts and crippled people. She then tells about their miserable lifestyle as they survive on shadow insects and the Legionaries finish the ones they find. She then asks if he wants her to continue.

They go toward the destroyed Dome when Kitsune tells her that Marcus had his best intentions in mind to which Nanami disagrees by telling that these horrors are happening because of people like him. Marcus is fulfilling his duties, but June tells her story that she used to sit near her father's throne, wearing a dress and smiling to everyone. But her dresses costed as much as half-year rations for a peasant family and her father accepted her view. Marcus angrily tells her not to compare him to her. He then gives two options - either to be born as a boy or to fight from the day she was born. Suddenly, a shadow angel comes to attack them, but General deals with those angels and they manage to get rid of them. Kitsune then asks Nanami if she can do something for those mindless bots who are intruding this place from the Shadow World. June has seen such bots at the island for protecting princess Moira in the main world. Nanami then strikes an idea. She hacks those bots and then sends them to guard Moira in every world so that the Immortals cannot reach her. However, this is a temporary measure as sooner or later, somebody will find them and their reaction will be same just like they found a lost heiress to the throne. After that, they will get her out of the island and infect her with Scourge. As they continue further, Marcus decides not to sit here listening to their accusations as Shadow's Precepts will be living. Itu then mysteriously appears and tells him that even Shadow himself abandoned his precepts. He made the world suffer and he admitted the fact. He was the one who opened the Gates of Shadows. He closed them but it was too late as the Night of the Scourge struck the Legion. Marcus then made up his mind that he will kill all the shadow beasts, but Kitsune stops him as she points toward the Master's servants which are multiplying. Suddenly, another shadow angel tries to attack them, but General again defeats them. June does not recognize Marcus, worrying Kitsune that the Master will also make an advantage out of this one day. Nanami says that he would not be able to defeat her, so she orders Shibata to do something right now.

The Void Room is falling apart. It creates the simulation of the Marcus' Village as its farewell message. Marcus initially does not get what happened to this place, although it does not take long till he remembers something about it. Nanami tells it as the village where he was born and raised. It is this village only where he decided to fight shadows and asks him if he remembered how he wanted to destroy the Dome. Marcus replies in positive as his father and mother both were killed by the Liquidators when they were infected with the Scourge. Nanami does not know what pain feels like, but some say that it is like if their circuits were melting. Kitsune then raised his hope that they will manage to take him out of the time loop as they are stronger than his shadowself. The General then fights with Shadow Mind to free Marcus from time loop. Being a sentient entity made up of pure shadow energy, Shadow Mind is invulnerable to physical attacks. In order to deal damage, the General has to be in shadow form. After a long and exhausting fight, the General proves to be victorious.

Finale: The Gates of Shadows[]

Marcus is willing to do anything if the Hero can bring back sanity to the mad generals of his homeland. He asks Mnemos what he must do. The latter apologizes to Marcus as his commanders will not come back as their souls belong to the Descendant. But the Hero can defeat the Descendant as they are a great warrior. He proceeds to tell Marcus that he and the Hero were comrades in other worlds and in one of them, the Hero led the Crimson Army instead of him. Marcus does not remember anything like that, but tells him that Itu once told him about the other worlds. Mnemos tells him that there are many Marcuses but only one soul of him, just as the moon appears to them in many guises. His soul holds the memory of the Hero and asks him to take a look. Marcus does not have any idea about what this artifact and energy is as he does not recognize it. Mnemos tells him that this is the energy of the Void and all worlds came from it including Marcus's world, shadow world destroyed by Shadow and many others. He corrects him as it is one of ancient Void technologies which allows them to look into human memories and control them. He advises him not to be afraid as he is not going to take his memories away. He only wants to find something important in them which is the connection between him and the Hero. Marcus gets irritated as to why Mnemos keeps taking Hero's name as he never met them. Mnemos then asks him another way, to which he asks Marcus if he remembered why he ended up in the time loop. Marcus then sees an image of Bolo, which tells him to call off his dogs as he is not a fan of threats but it would be better for everyone. At second glance, he attacked Marcus. A fight takes place between Marcus and Bolo in which Bolo is defeated. Bolo then tells Marcus that he does not understand in a good way. However, he wishes him a nice stay. Marcus tells Mnemos that it has been years or centuries since he lost track of time as he was thrown back time after time which was an endless assault on the Dome that never began.

This went on for ages till then, he saw them with a Dynastian and a Herald who were their friends. Marcus was talking about the Hero as he foolishly attacked them, overestimating their stamina and was defeated. His days as captive were over the minute he woke up in the woods. He slept like a dead man beside a brook he found and dreamt of a monster, which was as if Scourge had eaten all humans. The monster said something that is stuck in Marcus' head. This monster was none other than Lieutenant Seigfried. Marcus then fights him and defeats him. After that, it is revealed that these were the words of Seigfried he said those all: No-o-o-o-o Le-le-legion!!! At alllll. Marcus says that he woke up and went looking for his people and the Sphere. But the monster's words continued to ring in his ears. Marcus went through a lot of trials along with the Hero who was there when he returned to his homeland. His heart was broken when he saw that the shadows had already put their roots down there. The Hero suddenly disappeared and they had not seen them in years. Shadow returned instead and brought glory and death with him. He did not recognize himself and was not excited over victories as he did not want them. He then agreed with the monster he previously encountered that he told the truth: There was no Legion. Not only then. Never. Marcus's story continues. He tells that he was ordered to stop Queen Iolanda, who ran away to the Heralds. A fight ensues between Marcus and Iolanda in which she is defeated. After defeat, Iolanda tells Marcus that he does not know anything about them kings, they never did and tells Marcus that he is a fool to think she is a monster. To justify her statement, she ordered Marcus to go to the crypt and to the tomb of the king and say the warrior's oath of allegiance. Marcus was doing all this just to know the truth. He clung to his last hope but it was melting away.

Mnemos asks him what he expected to see in the crypt. The latter did not know but was shocked with what he actually saw. The ground trembled beneath his feet as soon as he said the oath and then, the king appeared. The King of the Legion orders him to bow down as his call was heard. He then orders to die, rise again and serve the Shadow Master. Then a battle takes place between Marcus and King of the Legion. He proves to be victorious. After seeing King's pale face, Marcus reveals that he was an outsider, not a human at all. Mnemos reveals that the King was one of them Void children. He fled from Titan's to his world and found a home among them. He also fell in love with a human woman. Mnemos understands Marcus's disappointment, but the King was loyal to his people as long as he could be until Shadow's Descendant took him. Mnemos asks him the name of the shard of the Hero in his soul which has changed its shape forever. Marcus says that he was not so good words but they hanged out with everybody. He was taught that the foreigners should be chased away and that their speeches were disgusting. But the Hero helped everyone they could including Legionaries, Dynasts, Heralds, Shamans, Nomads, Northerners etc. He also tells that the Hero answered the call and was taught in return. They shared everything with them and this is how Hero defeated Shadow. A shard of the Hero is collected.

Gameplay[]

Marcus is fought in a glitched state as the second boss of Chapter III. He fights with the Legion fighting style and wields Old-Timer as his weapon. Old-Timer is a Giant Sword, which is heavy and slow, however, it packs high damage. He is glitched in this fight, which can cause him to suddenly warp near the player. Unlike other bosses, Marcus does not utilize any special ability or Shadow abilities.

Marcus also can be fought in the Training mode, at the end of Chapter III, if the player chooses either to preserve or destroy the Sphere.

If the player chooses to destroy the Sphere, Marcus will be fought as the first boss of Chapter IV, possessed by the Shadow Mind. He wields the same gear like in the previous fight, and he utilizes unlimited shadow form, thanks to the shadow power. The fight can consist of up to five rounds, and the players must win three rounds in order to win.

Marcus is also a playable character in Chapter VI. The players will fight as Marcus after he is thrown into the prison. He is equipped with Old-Timer and Valor's Might. Marcus does not have any perks or special moves on his equipment, but he can use the same perks and special moves as the ones equipped on the players' owned Old-Timer and/or Valor's Might.

Marcus is also fought as an opponent in Chapter VII, Part II. He utilizes the exact same equipments, perks and special abilities like in the previous fight with him. Unlike before, the player only needs to win two rounds this time.

Marcus is a playable character in June's Plane part 2. He tried to defend himself from the enraged Emperor. He is equipped with Old-Timer and Valor's Might. Marcus does not have any perks or special moves on his equipments, but he can use the same perks and special moves as the ones equipped the players' own Old-Timer and/or Valor's Might.

Marcus is fought yet again in Itu's Plane part 1. The player, as Proxy, attacks Marcus on Bolo's 126th protocol while Bolo works on destabilising the spatio loop that is trapping him. He fights barehanded in the first round, but after he loses once, he uses his Giant Sword and gain the Through the Glitch ability. Marcus gradually gains more attack damage but loses health over time. He will get more attack damage and loses less health over time should the player's stability doesn't satisfy the fight's 14450 stability.
