Major is the third bodyguard of Shogun. He is an officer in Shogun's military army. Major is well built with white hair, and carries a banner embroided with Shogun's seal. Major wields a pair of Wakizashi as his weapons, which functions like swords. Like Captain, he does not believe that Shadow is the Prince of Ivory City until Shadow defeats him. After being defeated, he informs Shadow about what happened to the Prince and warns him about Shogun.

  • Major is the first bodyguard to mention Shogun.
  • Major is Shogun's only bodyguard that remains loyal to the Prince and by extension & proxy, after being defeated shows respect to Shadow.
    • Fittingly, Shogun's demon perk (bodyguard summoning) never summons Major.
      • This may also be because Major's attack range is too short.
  • Like other bodyguards of Shogun, Major wields an unobtainable weapon.
  • His name is his rank in the army, like all of Shogun's bodyguards. The rank name is still used to this day like his fellow Bodyguards Corporal, General, Captain and Colonel.
  • Wakizashi (Japanese: 脇差, side inserted sword) is one of the traditionally made Japanese swords worn by the samurai in feudal Japan. It has a blade between 30 and 60 cm (12 and 24 in).
    • The wakizashi being worn together with the katana was the official sign that the wearer was a samurai or swordsman. When worn together, the pair of swords were called daishō, which translates literally as "big-little".
