Grandma's Lesson

Grandma's Lesson is a side event that came out along with the Throne Race event on 6/28/2023.

Fight Info[]

The side event consists of a duel against Grandma Song, the Silver Witch. Players need to pay 1 Grandma's Invitation ticket to enter.

Despite her old age, Song is highly capable of fighting. Her weapon of choice, the Composite Sword, can unleash quick and often long distance attacks at the player.

The fight can consist of up to 5 rounds, with the player needing to win 3 to be declared victorious. The time limit of each fight is 99 seconds, and players need to defeat Grandma Song before the timer expires.

Special Abilities[]

The Fiery Sword

The Silver Witch's composite sword will inflict a burn on the player with a successful attack, dealing an additional 50% (?) damage over 3 seconds. The burn effect resets on every successful sword hit.

The Silver Witch

The Silver Witch does not gain or lose shadow energy from dealing or receiving damage. Instead, she can drink from a flask to instantly fill her entire shadow bar, before throwing the empty flask at the player which deals a small amount of damage if hit. The Silver Witch will always attempt to back away from the player if they're close, and drinks from the flask if they're sufficiently far enough away (her AI will not take the player's weapon of choice into consideration, which may leave her highly vulnerable to long range attacks from the player, like the Whip Katars' low slash or a ranged weapon, except the battle horn)

After that, the Silver Witch can use one shadow ability before her whole shadow bar goes away. However, that shadow ability is guaranteed to be a critical if hit.

Shadow Abilities[]

Void Compass

The composite sword turn into a giant circular-like saw that spins around Silver Witch, dealing damage to the player if they're contact with it blades.

Shift

Spins and disappears in a whirl of Shadow energy, teleporting behind the player. The first spin knocking the player down and deal very small amount of damage.

Uppercut

Punches upwards, causing a Shadow fist to quickly blast out from below the player.

Hailstorm

Shoots an arrow upwards to unleash rains of arrows.

Rewards[]

The player gets 125 trophy coins and 100 tokens for winning, and 5 each for losing.

While Grandma Song is not the first opponent to wield the composite sword in Shadow Fight 3 (This is held by Mnemos), she is the first opponent to wield it with its official moveset.
