Shadow's Descendant, also known as the Descendant, the Prince/Princess, Proximus/Proxima (Proxy), the General, or the Hero, is the player's character and main protagonist of Shadow Fight 3. They are a former Shadow Squad member and former disciple of Galen who can freely join any faction. They are one of the two halves of the true child of Shadow and May, and the one who inherits Shadow's powers to fuse with Shadow Mind and is blamed by their evil half as one of his copies using time travel.

The Evil Half of Shadow's Descendant/Stranger

The Stranger's true identity is revealed as the Descendant himself, who claimed that he had jumped time many times and created a billion copies of himself. After the events that happened in the Transformation and the events after the disappearance of Shadow, the real Shadow's Descendant had conquered the world, therefore making him its ruler.
Powers & Abilities
Despite having no unique ability in most quests, the Hero's body inherits the inner power from their father, Shadow. They can absorb and have a full control on Shadow Mind and use its power at full potential. Here is a list of the Descendant's known special abilities:
- Hidden Power: The Descendant's special ability available only during Cleansing before they can defeat Shadow three times. When they enter shadow form, the Shadow Mind will emerge out and shoot out a powerful blast of shadow beam to attack the enemy. The beam's impact is strong enough to knock the giant armorwalker down, which is otherwise impossible to do, and also instantly pierce Shadow's shield, which is otherwise very time-consuming to deplete manually.
- Amulet's Blessing: In The Realm Of Infinity and Miracle, Mnemos lends the Descendant Moira's Amulet to assist them in the fight. Upon activation, a protective aura surrounds the Descendant for 5 seconds, negating all damage from the enemy's next attack and prevents that attack from knocking down the player. The amulet needs 7 seconds to recharge before next use.
Customization
Players can select the option to change the appearance of the character in the profile menu. Changing names, gender, faces, hairstyles, or others can be done according to the players' desires. The first customization for the character is free. However, they have to pay 10 gems if the player wants to customize the character again.

Trivia
- Due to the fact that Descendant is from the Legion, the players assume the fighting style of the Legion faction if they do not have any armor equipped.
- There is a high probability that Descendant survived the Cleansing through time travel.
- The identity of the Stranger has been revealed as the real Shadow's Descendant during the story of Itu's Plane. However, May's voice told Shadow that there is another half of the Descendant who has good will, unlike Stranger.
- It was revealed during, and after, the events of Finale: The Gates of Shadows that the Stranger was lying about being the true Shadow's Descendant, when in fact the true Descendant was the Hero, and the Stranger was simply a shadow reflection of them. Both represented each other's exact opposites: the Hero represented good while the Stranger represented evil.
