Story[]
Accompanied by the guards, the little woman bravely entered Emperor's reception hall. Deng Rao informs the Emperor that he and his guards have captured the granddaughter of the Silver Witch in Falcon's Gorge, who was going to do some filthy business there. Emperor asks him if he has found the Silver Witch herself, to which Deng Rao answers that the search for her is still under way by their best men and assures him that they will find her before midnight. Fangirl finds the guardians nowadays a mess since they are looking for Grandma and she did not even think of hiding. Fangirl offers to tell them where she is if they wish but only in private as she does not like Deng Rao, to which Emperor agrees and orders him to go way, forcefully, to which he reluctantly agrees. Fangirl is glad he is gone as the Imperial Guard is not what it used to be. Emperor advises her not to be impertinent and asks her to tell where old lady Song is and why she failed to deliver elixir on time, which he should have had a week ago. Fangirl cannot respond since she spots an assassin hiding in the palace, which the Emperor easily takes care of. After Emperor takes care of the assassin, Fangirl's claim that his guards are not good at their job is justified. Emperor agrees with her, telling the times now are different from when her grandfather and this finest guard, the Sacred Dragon was alive, because of whom he never had to fear for his life. Fangirl tells him that everything he is saying is true except one thing - the assassin was not a threat to him, but to her and she is from the Assassin's Order. Emperor admires her imagination, similar to her grandmother. Emperor is confused about how the Order of Assassins still exists as Shadow put an end to them long ago. Fangirl decides to tell this later. Right now, she wants to tell him the reason of delay of his delivery of elixir. Emperor grants her the permission to do so, but briefly as today is the Tournament of Dragons, which he must honor with his presence. The Emperor sits comfortably on this throne and starts listening to the visitor's story. Before starting her story, Fangirl tries to make the Emperor aware of the fact that her grandmother would never leave him without his potion and that she also knows how important it is to him. Emperor then tells her that her grandmother told her about the monster within him and that without his elixir, he will die. Then Fangirl tells him that she ran out of the secret ingredient she uses to make the potion, which according to the Emperor is not a serious problem, since her grandmother always has the best apothecaries at her disposal and she should have just come to him. Fangirl tells her that finding that ingredient in their world is impossible. She then begins her story. Her grandmother sent her on a voyage to the sea to find the ingredient. Fangirl assured her companions that their sea trip would go easy and quick but something went wrong. Emissary Wei reports to the Captain that they have got some company, which Phang shockingly questions. Phang orders Fangirl not to leave their quarters as the ship is under attack, to which she agrees, while Emissary Wei deals the shadow spirtis. Emissary Wei deals with all the shadow spirits attacking them himself. After fighting them off, Emissary Wei tells Fangirl that there has always been some supernatural madness in her presence, which Fangirl questions as they were her friends: Sugar, Kitty and Clover. Emissary Wei is surprised to see that shadow spirits are her friends. Fangirl tells him that this is not a big deal as they were ordered by her grandmother to protect Fangirl but they are offended now as Emissary beat them all and would not show up anymore. Fangirl tells her companions that they must be close to the island by now and reveals that there are many mystical things going on there, which is why shadow spirits came to protect her. Captain Phang suddenly informs that they are almost near the island. Captain Phang drops the ship anchor and asks his companions if they are ready to go to the island. Fangirl tells him to wait as she needs to check her map. Emissary Wei is confused as to why she needs a map since she needed special shells for her Grandma's potions and she will not find shells in the middle of the island. Fangirl explains that Grandma said that it would be nice to see a few more local sights since they were going all this way. Emissary tells her that this contradicts their agreement; he reminds her that this island is called the Forbidden Isle for a reason and Lady Song asked her very much to protect Fangirl in a letter. Captain Phang suddenly notices some strange warriors he met last time in this island trying to get on the ship. Fangirl encourages Phang to take care of the strange warriors and guard the ship since he is brave and she believes in him, before telling him to catch up with them at the shore. Phang then enters his fighting stance and fights the strange warriors in order to guard the ship and he takes all of them down one by one. After taking care of the guards, Phang goes to the shore, where his companions are and apologizes for keeping them waiting. Emissary Wei asks Phang why he has been in this island before, to which Phang responds that it is a long story, which he tries to explain until he is suddenly interrupted by Fangirl, who has suddenly found a trail and directs her companions. Emissary Wei complains that why they are climbing a mountain when she has picked up her shells; they should go back. Captain Phang asks Emissary not to be grumpy since this place is really beautiful and the weather here is cool and fresh, unlike the capital. Emissary and Fangirl then see a Legionary who has spotted them and comes to attack them. However, Emissary deals with the Legionary himself as he is no big deal to him. After defeating the Legionary, Emperor asks what is a Legionary doing in the Forbidden Isle which was reported to him to be guarded by mysterious defenders. Fangirl advises him not to worry as that unfortunate man is under the powerful Dream of Centuries spell. Emperor decides to deal with him later, but asks her what she was really looking for in the island as he does not believe she was looking for shells. Fangirl then honestly admits that seashells are useless in magic and tells the Emperor that Mister Wei is a good spy as he did not seem to believe her for even a second. Fangirl continues her story. They are about to enter the cave until its Chief stops them as he strangers and trouble again. Captain Phang is surprised to see the Chief alive as he thought the Emperor had punished him. Fangirl tells him that the Emperor instead decided to cure him as it was the shadow energy that made him violent and greedy but he is slowly regaining his senses. The Chief orders the trio to leave as the strangers have brought them enough trouble, which is why he will not let them enter the sacred cave. Fangirl then tells her that she needs a little thing from the cave, which Emissary questions. The Chief does not listen and orders the cave guards to capture them. The trio now has to get through the Chief using force. Emissary deals with all the guards himself. The Emperor tells Fangirl that the Forbidden Isle has always been a problem for the Empire; he regrets not having given it up when her grandmother told them to do so since she was right, to which Fangirl agrees. Emperor then asks her that if this is really the case, how could she run out of important elixirs at just the moment he needed them so badly. It seems to Fangirl that she might have fallen in love, so she forgot about the elixir. But she assures him that it will not happen again. This confuses the Emperor. He does not know whether to be happy or sorry for the poor man, whoever he is. Fangirl tells him that Grandma does not know that either, which is why her feelings are destined to be hidden forever as the elusive soul of the Dynasty. She suggests to move on with her story. She continues. Fangirl tells the Emperor that she had to talk some sense into the Chief as he could interfere with her plans. Captain Phang informs his companions that the Chief escaped into the cave. It did not seem to him that the Chief was coming to his senses; he is weakened, but still not open to negotiations. Just then, Fangirl suddenly remembers that she sent the Chief a wrong box. Emissary tells Fangirl that he will not take a single step further until she does not tell him what is going on. She then agrees to explain him that they did not come here for seashells but they need to get to a secret place where there is an ingredient that her grandmother wants. Emissary furiously tells her to get it herself as he did not sign up for this and he cannot obey her orders anymore. Captain Phang silences him. Fangirl tries to convince Emissary Wei that the royal Emperor of the Dynasty and the Jade Archipelago, needs this ingredient and if he does not help him get into that cave, he will spend the rest of his life hiccuping and falling out of bed in his sleep. Captain Phang then silence both of them as they have argued enough and he personally agrees to help Fangirl enter the cave. He and Fangirl enter the cave. Upon entering, Fangirl tries to talk to the Chief but he refuses to do so and orders them to leave. Captain Phang tells Fangirl that he has heard that the Chief has always been like this, so they have no choice but to get through him in a violent way. A tough battle starts between Captain Phang and the Chief. The Chief attacks him with his tentacles, but to no avail. Captain Phang still overcomes him and takes him out. After being miserably defeated, the Chief begs the duo to leave them in peace. Phang tells Fangirl that these people have been through enough pain because of the Damned Fleet and they are not to blame for hiding princess here, Shadow is. But the Legion and the Dynasty took advantage of these people anyway. The Chief asks them how long their suffering will last and how long will they live the heels of the Monkey King and his favorites. Fangirl understands their pain and she too hates the Octopus of the Damned. She assures him that she will take their sorrows to the right place and one day, he will be free. The Chief recognizes them and finally decides to trust the Imperials one last time. He tells the duo that whatever they need is on the Bridge. Fangirl happily thanks the Chief. The Emperor sees her cleverness and asks her how she is going to keep her promise of granting them independence, to which Fangirl answers that it is he who will, not her as she knows he has thought of it himself. All she has to say about this is that these territories bring more trouble than profit. The Emperor agrees with her and asks her to go on with her story and she does so. Fangirl tells him that the Chief opened for them an entrance to the Stone Head cave and they had to defeat the twin spirits in order to get to the Bridge. Upon entering, Emissary Wei notices something which he deems another Chief's tricks. The Chief tells them that these spirits have guarded them for an extremely long time and they weakened when the Power came to the island, but they can still take them where they need to go. As Fangirl lives and breathes, she remembers these people - they are Fool and Gloomy-Face. Whatever they are, Captain Phang volunteers to fight them himself. He defeats all the twin spirits one by one. Fangirl tells the Emperor that as soon as they went to the other side of the cave, the sneaky Chief sealed the passage as he was afraid they would pester him again. Emperor asks her where they ended up. Fangirl answers her lord - in the Void. The Emperor tells her that my years have passed since he last heard about the Void. Fangirl knows that it was his father's interest, The Divine Emperor of the Nine Seas. Emperor appreciates her knowledgeability, saying it is equal to Lady Song. He asks her what else she told her. She tells that she told her that her lordship is a very perceptive man. She then asks for his permission to continue her story, to which the Emperor agrees. The trio is transported to a strange place, which Captain Phang questions. Emissary asks the girl where they got them as there is ancient magic involved. Fangirl tells them that they are in the Void, which badly horrifies them. She tells them not to worry as she can take care of this. Her companions are really angry because they think they are dead and Fangirl has killed them as no one can survive in the Void. Fangirl tries to calm them down and tells them to not panic as it is no big deal for her grandmother - the protective elixir they drank before sailing here will protect them. Fangirl notices some local critters getting to them and asks her companions to take care of them while she does her own job. Emissary himself deals with the strangest shadow beast attacking them, which he finds disgusting, but he still does the job anyway. After the shadow beast is dealt with, Captain Phang questions where the girl went and says they have to find her as this place is very dangerous. Emissary teases him for having a crush on her despite all that is happening, which leaves Captain Phang speechless. Emissary explains him who Fangirl really is - she is the granddaughter of the Silver Witch, old lady Song and one day, she will be the new Silver Witch, as it is customary in their bloodline. Emissary advises Phang to stay away from Fangirl because even if she does not ruin his destiny, her grandmother will. Fangirl returns to them. Captain Phang is glad to see her all right. Fangirl tells her companions that a guard was not feeling well, screaming like a madman, threatening her. She asks her companions to calm him down while she finds a way out of here. Emissary easily tackles the senior assassin himself. After he is defeated, Captain Phang comments that this assassin did not look much of a guard. Emissary finds out that Fangirl stole something from them and questions Fangirl about it. Fangirl says they have no time to talk as they will all be here in a minute. She has found the way out of the Void and directs her companions to it. The Emperor asks Fangirl what her goal really was all along. She tells him that she robbed the Order of Assassins all for her grandmother and him. Moreover, she tells that she did not steal demonic artifacts as it would have been greedy, so she only borrowed only one little thing from the head of the Order - his pocket mirror, which had stored up enough magical energy for Grandma to make new, long lasting elixirs. Emperor is enjoying her story for some reason. He asks her how she got out of the Void. Fangirl tells him that it was very easy for those of them who are well-informed. She tells him of a Stone Twin who guards the sacred cave of the Forbidden Island and the other one who oversees Falcon's Gorge. They jumped into Falcon's Gorge and landed in the arms of Deng Rao's troops, who attacked them upon enterance. Phang and Emissary both fight them off. After they are dealt with, Deng Rao appears telling Fangirl that the Emperor ordered her to appear before the throne two days ago, which she has not before saying he would arrest her personally. Emissary tries to defend the defenseless girl. However, she does not want to be defended. She agrees to Deng Rao, telling her that she was away from the capital and could not return so soon. She fully gives herself up, asking Deng Rao to take her to him. Phang cannot bear this but Fangirl tells him to not worry as she will be fine and bids her companions farewell. Emperor, due to her cleverness and knowledge of Dynasty, realizes that Fangirl is the Silver Witch and has no granddaughter. Fangirl reveals herself as the Silver Witch as she has no need to hide anymore. Emperor is surprised to see her cleverness of changing her appearance which even he did not recognize at first. Fangirl tells him that his intelligence in unmatched but she had something else in mind. Fangirl then spots a demon, Lynx, which she must protect the Emperor from with all her power, much to Lynx's surprise. Lynx asks her why she threw off her young disguise as her senile powers are too weak to hold more than one enchantment at once. Being a demon, Lynx can see through her worn-out magic and he is surprised that despite this, she hoped to decieve him. It gets darker in the hall. The Emperor felt the magic of other worlds in the air. Emperor now remembers that Lynx is the head of the Assassin's Order, much to his scornful surprise after which he orders the mortal to tremble. Fangirl advises Lynx to respect the Emperor of the Dynasty and not make him angry at all, which he rejects. Lynx has seen many rulers and this one is no different from the rulers he has seen so far and he does not care about him. He tells Fangirl to give him back what she stole from him; otherwise, he would award her with painless death. Emperor tries to defend Fangirl because he does not want his subjects robbed right away. Fangirl advises him to stand aside as only she, as a Silver Witch, can deal with this dangerous demon. A deadly battle starts between Lynx and the Silver Witch. The Silver Witch beats Lynx badly with all her might even at an old age. Lynx, despite being a dangerous opponent, loses to the Silver Witch. After being defeated, Lynx tells Silver Witch that she has signed her own death warrant as she can forget about her peaceful old age. He threatens her that he will expose her true face and criminality to everyone, which is not really her concern. She laughs at this threat as no one will believe him because they in Dynasty do not even believe themselves, let alone outsiders, after which Lynx disappears. Emperor understands that the Order of Assassins is not exactly what they need now. Silver Witch tells him that they now have problems of their own because of which they will be of no trouble to the Dynasty. Emperor, however, still wants to protect the Silver Witch because he fears Lynx will try to kill her again, by poison if not by force, so he offers her some guards to protect her but she politely rejects his offer as she already has some smarter guys to protect her. Silver Witch now asks the Emperor to let her prepare a potion quickly to prevent the Emperor from becoming a shadow beast in front of his subjects, which would be very embarrassing and she does so. After consuming the potion, Emperor asks her why she kept her secret despite the warriors of Deng Rao being easy prey for her, to which she answers that until she had her potions, she had no guarantee that she could return to her favored form and she also did not want to waste her energy on them, before telling that she is invited to the Tournament of Dragons. The Emperor assumed she wants to show off her skills to the youngsters. The Silver Witch rejects his statement, saying that this is no competition, this is a demonstration in memory of the Sacred Dragon and something to make newcomers remember who they should look up to. Just then, Deng Rao appears and is shocked to see Lady Song and asks her how she appeared here. The Emperor dismisses him as they are in hurry for the Tournament and advises him to go as well. They all then head to the Tournament. After reaching the Tournaments, the Silver Witch spars with her new guards and Deng Rao to show off her old-school skills and she prevails over them. After Silver Witch bests her new guards, Galen talks to the Emperor, telling him that he is glad to finally see the Silver Witch and asks her where she has been all this time, to which the Emperor answers that this is not his concern; the fact that he has got his vials is all that matters to him. Galen then spots her granddaughter, who is cheerfully approaching them for their autographs, which both the Emperor and Galen run away from. The Emperor noticed the Witch's fragile silhouette disappearing on the ground. He thought she is like the very soul of the elusive Dynasty.
