Butcher, the Demon of Wrath, is a supporting antagonist in Shadow Fight 3 who appears during Maze of Immortality and Xiang Tzu's Adventure: Feeding Demons. Along with Lynx and Widow, Butcher is a shadow demon, and the only demons known so far.
Story[]
Maze of Immortality[]
Shibata and Void Speaker managed to find the secret functions of Void Room. The Room itself is connected to the Void which is called Mirror Maze. Shibata plans to make the Void Room to create their projections, in wish they could tell him many inserting things. Suddenly, a figure of a cruel shadow demon, Butcher, appears after the simulation. This is what the Void Speaker wanted from the Void Room's secret function; she wants to talk with the Butcher.
Xiang Tzu's adventure[]
Years have passed since Shadow returned. The whole world has changed, even the demons. The story starts with Lynx and Butcher quarrelling. Lynx is furious as Butcher has returned to him, despite the fact that he spared him the last time he fought him and resigned himself to not seeing him ever again. Butcher is fed up by his antics and is here to get what he needs. Lynx then tells him that he was referring to the time when he underestimated his elegant attire and called him a fool for that. He forgave him assuming that he was not in his right mind. He feels glad seeing Butcher has come to apologize. He is wrong however. Butcher is not interested in his chatter at all and wonders if Lynx has got new dreams. Lynx is disappointed about being wrong about Butcher. He accepts the fact that not everyone is capable of self-improvement, very few are, yet Lynx treated Butcher like his own blood. He also prepared some dreams for him. Butcher is running out of patience. He orders him to stop talking and show him the dreams. Lynx then shows Butcher the dream of a mortal named Xiang Tzu, assuming they are made for him and he will like it.
Almost near the final fight, Xiang Tzu is met by Butcher and Lynx, who commends his skills which disregarding his looks which can be deceiving. Xiang Tzu likes Lynx's appearance as well. Lynx is happy to hear that and appreciates the mortal's taste, before Xiang Tzu tells him that he was talking about Butcher actually. He asks Butcher what he uses his knives for, to which Butcher responds "meat". Xiang Tzu appreciates his cleavers but tells him that they will not help, before challenging him to a fight to see what he is capable of. Lynx mocks him for not fearing the demon of wrath, to which Xiang Tzu replies that he is no demon of wrath, but more like demon of sorrow, on whose soul something heavy is weighing for sure, much to Butcher's dismay. Lynx tells Xiang Tzu that they have no soul. Xiang Tzu is not afraid of either of them, who annoy him. He believed previously that if you die a hero, you will be surrounded by heroes, but this case, according to him, is completely the opposite. Butcher then orders them to stop and chatter and continue to the fight. The ultimate battle starts between Butcher and Xiang Tzu. Despite Butcher's enormous amount of strength and defense and completely unique shadow abilities, Xiang Tzu badly defeats Butcher and proves to be victorious over him. After being defeated, Butcher is impressed by Xiang Tzu's skills and chooses him. Conversely, Xiang Tzu wants to choose Butcher since the choice is not very significant, which shocks Lynx. Xiang Tzu then offers them his soul at the cost of learning to fight with Butcher's cleavers.
Fights[]
Butcher is fought as the event and adventure final boss using mixed Legion unarmed style and Dynasty cleavers style. He wields Slicers as his main weapons and the players must win three rounds against him in order to be victorious.
Power and Abilities[]
- Demon of Wrath: Butcher has the ability to summon two Death Cage walls that are summoned behind and front of him. The cage locks both Butcher and his opponent inside it and grants him an Unbreakable State. As long as the cage stands, Butcher's cleavers deal increased damage and he takes reduced damage from opponent weapon attacks.
- Tremble: Butcher's jumps, jump kick attacks and Cleavers heavy slash create an earthquake upon landing on the ground, dealing a small amount of damage to the opponent if they are close to the vicinity.

Trivia[]
- Butcher's appearance is based on his Seasonal Skin, Fearmonger Demon in Shadow Fight 4: Arena.
- This may be because only in this skin does Butcher have the horns on his head.
- The Butcher seems to incorporate several of his Talents from Shadow Fight 4: Arena in Shadow Fight 3.
- His Tremble ability is the same ability as the Talent using the same name.
- His cage walls deal damage when touched or if he pushes the opponent. The ability works similar to the Slaughterhouse talent.
- However, this cage system no longer exists and replaced by the actual cage like in his SF4 counterpart.
- Demons do not actually belong to any faction as confirmed by the developers but Butcher spent some of his demonic life in Dynasty, learning a few tricks from his victims. It explains why Demon of Wrath is a set from Dynasty faction despite Butcher's move set resembling Legion style.
