The storyline in Shadow Fight 2 is divided into Acts. They are like chapters that comprise each, in addition to several gameplay modes, a central enemy who is fought at the conclusion of the Act. Every act contributes its own parts to the storyline, and has its own set of enemies, locations, soundtracks, equipment, narrative, and features.
There are seven full size acts in Shadow Fight 2, not including the Interlude. They are, in order of appearance:
- Act I: Hero Reborn
- Act II: Secret Path
- Act III: Trail of Blood
- Act IV: Pirate Throne
- Act V: The Greatest Temptation
- Act VI: Iron Reign
- Act VII: Revelation
In addition to the full-size acts, there is Interlude. Interlude is played after the completion of the full-sized version of Act VI: Iron Reign. It is an "abridged" version of the first six acts, where the player revisits all previous zones and defeats the demons once again to break the seals; albeit with significantly less battles and stages to complete. The demons and their bodyguards are fought all in one go, in a survival-like round-based battle. Interlude can be considered an act of its own, because similar to regular acts, it features 6 levels, and also has the "act screen" which is shown at the beginning of each act.
Modes of play
Act I comprises 4 modes of play.
Act II comprises 6 modes of play.
Act III comprises 5 modes of play.
Act IV comprises 5 modes of play.
Act V comprises 5 modes of play.
Act VI comprises 6 modes of play (5 in the Interlude).
Act VII comprises 5 modes of play, in 7 different locations. Unlike the other acts, some locations change their mode of play, or are replaced by another location, as the player progresses through the story; and can thus no longer be accessed past a certain point. The entries in italic are ones that the player can access at the end of the storyline.
